do the late fees kick in at 21 or 30 like they used to?

That I don't know as I've never risked it until that late haha

My statement date is the on the 5th, the "Pay By" date is around 19th every month.
I usually pay it around 24 (within the grace period) and no late fee whatsoever.

Has anyone in here pay the bill after 21 days but less than 30?

With the charge card the full amount is due on statement 'delivery'. However, late fees will not kick in unless you have not paid in full before the next statement date.

After then additional fees are charged ever 15 days (½ month) until full payment is made.

If it is the standard membership it it only worth 99USD/year
If it is the standard plus it is worth 249USD/year.

The standard plus would be good as you get 10 free yearly visits.
I guess i will have to call them and ask.

It isn't the standard, i wasn't charged when I used the lounge in DEL. I thought i read somewhere it was the full access (i.e. unlimited visits) but i can't find it anywhere.

I also believe that to be the case. I started to look it up but got sidetracked.

I would have thought the only benefit to having both was to use the credit card so you do not need pay the balance off in full, which is less than ideal advice.
If you pay the balance off each month then you may as well use the charge card.

Except that you need to have the Credit Card to get the free flight - you don't need to use it, you don't need to pay anything extra, but you do need to have it, or you can't redeem the flight.

The other "advantage" if you are turning over a large amount and are in danger of exceeding the cap for the 1.5 MR points per dollar on the Charge card and reverting to a 1 point earn rate, is that you can split the expenses over both, and double your cap at the 1.5 MR point rate. Just don't put purchases on the Credit Card that you would gain the Buyer's Advantage warranty extension which only applies to the Charge Card.

I received a (Amex co-branded) replacement card today and the letter that comes with it says that it is prestige level.

I don't recall applying for the Priority Pass via Amex but I must have done so as a card and associated paperwork arrived this week.

As oz_mark says the card is Prestige level and from there propaganda letter is valued at $US399 pa. Accompanying guests may visit for a nominal fee of $US27 per person, per visit which is charged automatically to the members Platinum card.

Thanks for that :)

To those who have supplementary cards with their Platinum card.

Does each card receive a separate statement, or at least are the purchases and total amount for each card separated?

Amex says "All charges made on the cards will appear on your monthly statement, ensuring you are always in control of your account. "
Which to me sounds like one statement with one total.

And while on the topic of supplementary cards, Ames also says "This allows you to share the benefits you enjoy with Platinum, including travel privileges, emergency services and access to Platinum experiences, with those closest to you".
Does anyone know if that extends to the priority pass membership?

Thanks to all those who have been answering my questions, it is appreciated :D

One statement but a separate list for each card.

That's if I am there and taking them in with my card.
I was meaning if i give someone else an Amex platinum suppp card will they receive their own priority pass membership so they can enter lounges without me and my priority pass card.

For a supp card holder they can buy a Priority Pass Membership for US$249 (rather than usual price of US$399). Only the primary card holder gets Priority Pass membership included.
