Platinum Charge - New card welcome package

Got mine last night
The original and replacement and one card for wife (wasnt sure if this was original or replacement)
Had to call to work out which card was current one
All sorted

A side note
I have been a Amex member since 04 as shown on my Explorer card but the Pat now say since 18
My wife has been since 04 too and hers now says since 20
I know its only trivial info but is there any reason to have the correct date showing on the card?

Could the "member since" year be a difference between holding a credit card versus a charge card?

Not sure, I was thinking that as well but if that were the case then both would be 20

I got my charge card before the credit card, and they both have the same member since year.

I am not too sure what happens if you have a credit card before you get the charge card.

Called AMEX to chase up where the card is , but apparently that simple request required me to be transferred three times and re-explain the issue each time. One agent insisted I needed to keep waiting saying it would take "7-10 business days" but I pushed back several times that if that's the case, they need to update the approval e-mail and SMS as both state 5-7. The third agent finally bothered to look at the sending history.

This is all too familiar..

Between the 8-10 calls to find out WTF was happening with the card (and being transferred multiple times, disconnected and told there's nothing to do but wait) and trying to use the platinum benefits, so far, the "platinum experience" has been woeful.. Enrolled for Hilton gold status in mid Jan.. Still nothing. Enrolled for AFR digital membership around the same time.. Still nothing, so I've just tried again. $1400 a year certainly isn't going to customer service...
