Platinum Newsletter

Finally a useful mailout from "Qantas Platinum" - subject line "First & Business Reward seats available now"

View attachment 195413

The email also includes two unique codes for $50 off a Qantas hotels booking - a promising step in the right direction!
Mine was from "Qantas Platinum One" and everything else was identical to what you got.

Got it too, didn't realise there's $50 vouchers in the email until I read this thread - thanks!

As a freshly minted fourth time recycled P (Monday after the AFF Annual event) I received this email at 2.44

The two $50 hotel vouchers might come in handy....

I can't imagine it would be. Given they only just introduced the Platinum newsletter it would be a few years for Gold to get their own

I mean the reward availability. Generally Qantas doesn't reserve rewards seats only for platinums, it simply gives platinums the first chance to book them.

I note there are hundreds of thousands of economy reward seats available. Good then everyone else can use them - I want J or F :p

Anyone had any luck actually finding any of these seats?
I still can't find any availability to Europe in June-August 2020.
I know that's peak period but the email explicitly stated that peak periods were included.

Couldn't find any J rewards for a trip via SFO i'm considering for Feb next year...I do love the QF site though suggesting First class award availability until you read "Your flight from Sydney to San Francisco will be in Premium". It's in the First class award column, because the 1hr US domestic flight will be in "first" class...

and most surprising of all the vouchers last through to June next year
I noticed that too. Only reason I didn't delete the email once I'd read it.
Is that booked by June, or the stay completed by June?

Same here - looking late September to get to VCE, MXP or MUC - some 1st class available, not 1 J class over a wide spread of flight connection options, other than the usual advisory that the majority of the flight will be in Y!

I haven't been able to see any additional J seats MEL-LHR for next year.
Same here, and I've been looking across a broad spread of dates for CBR-LHR return in late Sep/early Oct. The only J flights that come up are with Chinese Eastern (MU), via DFW with AA, and the DFW-LHR leg in Economy, or better still, with BA from Sydney and only the leg from CBR to SYD in Business, the rest with BA in Economy

Must be booked by. No rush to book a hotel for our trip to Perth

@boomy alerted me to the 2 x $50 vouchers and I found this thread. I haven't received the Platinum Newsletter. Last one I received was September 2019 and they've stopped.

I wonder if trying to get the 2 x $50 vouchers will be as difficult as extracting wisdom teeth. Good luck.

Been a while since I got one of these. Have gone into the draw for a bar cart, and both ms sudoer and I will be filling up with 50L of premium unleaded at a BP this week for the 10SC :)

Thought it was odd that the bar cart competition T&C are only open to WPs over 21 years old though...
