Platinum Shadow - how does it work?

Less than 48 hours out from a transcon on an Airbus, my shadow has disappeared. Whereas EF previously showed the next seat as blocked, it's now open. And the flight isn't full:

I would suggest that is a very full flight.

I don't quite know the extent of overbooking on QF domestic, particularly transcons but it is possible that all seats may be occupied.
