Points Club [launched in March 2020]

For the record, I can't see it, but the majority of my points are now trapped with membership rewards until I choose to use them. So I may never get to the base level, but shall wait for the details to slowly become known before deciding if I need to be there.

Side note, I know AMEX occasionally does bonus transfers where if you transfer over 500k points or over 1m+ points you get a nice bonus. I wonder if they will do a deal with Qantas for those situations to allow those members to still get to Points Club Plus – e.g. a waiving of the transfer cap?

i think they is a limit of 125k points limit per transaction going towards the Club, so if you transfer 500k point only 125k will go towards club. :(

executivetraveller.com wrote up a summary of the new scheme yesterday.
I can't seem to find anywhere on my ff account, my membership year dates. Exceeded the 125,000 (cap) so far this month alone buy no offer from qantas

Log into your QFF account and select "Status Activity".

You will see something line "To <reach target> you need another <task> ... before ... <date>". That <date> is the end of your QFF "year".

My "year" goes from November to October,so I see:

Ah. Thanks.

Mine tells me how many status points left until next tier - cant see anything on points left to get from club to club plus :(

Yes I understand that, what I am saying is that AMEX does offer rather large bonuses to transfer rather large swathes of points to QFF from time to time. I wonder (out loud) whether those transfer period will also come with a waiver of the 125k limit per transaction, otherwise it severely penalise very large transactions from a good partner.

No note of Points Club in my profile! If it's based on the QFF membership anniversary, then I have only got 70,000 points so far and hence not eligible for any thing Points Club :(

I wouldn't be surprised if the announcement has been put on hold indefintely in the current environment.

You can actually see what level you are at on the app in my QFF even though it hasn't been announced.

It should say your status first and if you made points club and then your membership number at the top.

Mine says "Platinum - Points Club - Membership number"

Only seems to be showing on iOS at the moment.

I'm amazed there isn't more activity on this thread. The introduction of status credits on award bookings is HUGE!!!

Will be very curious to see what the accrual rate is. Even if domestic Business = discount economy and international Business = Economy, that's a big bonus!

With the introduction of lounge passes & QC membership for the different 'Points Club' levels, the banks will probably now start removing these 'benefits' from their QFF branded cards - well that is only if you think banks will be looking to take any little increase to margins on their credit card products from this new QFF offer (but c'mon there banks!).
