Nice to get some hotel and wines voucher. I am wondering how they plan to roll out this. Will members that are currently points plus club get the vouchers?

On the other hand, no signs of the rumoured points club plus max tiers...

Yawn, would any of these benefits really entice someone to go for Points Club Plus?

Where did you see this? I can't find it on Google or the Qantas mobile site.

Thanks for your post @aus_flyer because it prompted me to check the benefits.

I recently retained Points Club Plus and have not yet received:

  • A $100 Qantas Hotels voucher to enjoy^^
  • ...plus two $50 vouchers to celebrate your birthday<< (minimum spend A$149)

So you’ve given me a reason to sit on hold.

Nice to see they're continuing to tweak the program, but 2500 extra points after transferring/earning 250,000 points is pretty sad. At least offer similar to the QFF loyalty bonuses, where you get to choose 50SC or 8000 points – an amount that would actually achieve something.

That bonus 2500 extra points will tip me over into points plus again for this year, but I don't think it will count. (same as all my hotel cancellation 1000 points don't count towards points club)
Still have 1 month to get the last few points, so not worried.

As someone who requalified for Points Club last week and had my birthday yesterday, guess I'll be waiting a while for those new benefits! Still, definitely better than nothing, and both of those vouchers will come in handy.

Still not really enticing to be honest. The hotel vouchers are useless to me as I always book my accommodation with my trusted hotel chains directly where I'm a premium member. Very much like many of the existing "benefits" which are total rubbish too- I already have lounge access, as does my partner. And that generous "Free upgrade on Avis bookings" offer is a total 'treat your customers like idiots' move as it's always WAYS cheaper to book through Avis directly than via Qantas.

Maybe the premium membership for Qantas wine, though even this is useless if you reside outside of Australia. So for me- meh, meh, meh.

I can hardly wait for my 2,500pt bonus! :p

The wine voucher will come in handy though, albeit only a small discount.

This is an improvement. Not a huge improvement - but a welcome one all the same.

I have Points Club Plus (thanks to ~6 card churns a year) and the only benefit I currently use (and value) is the SC earn on reward flights.

I don't use Qantas Hotels (I tend to book through Hotels.com) but the voucher will cause me to move at least 1 booking a year through there and I'll a few bucks. I don't usually buy wine but if I can get ~30% off with a voucher once a year I'll do that too and feel good about the discount.

To be fair - points club is all cream for me. I'd still churn credit cards without it.

The new offers are not there to entince people to chase the qff points to hit the club tiers.
I see it as being a way to acquire (convert) customers to qantas hotel and qantas wine, where the target audience is ... high spenders by selection.

I mean, club members have to subscribe to the marketing "exclusive offers" mailing list to get their vouchers...

I have never received a Qantas Hotels voucher either for my birthday or by booking a flight so I can't wait to see if I actually get one as a Points Club member.

I was wondering about this - not clear if you get sent the vouchers on achieving the desired points level, or at start of next membership year? Hoping for latter, as my new year starts in 2 weeks.
