We should organise an AFF Covid Party
Let's do it in WA with a lot of E guests...
If only we could...

Jinxed!"Latest advice" may be an overestimate. We (both 3jabs) have been isolating with positive children for last 8 days and are still negative. May be jinxing us of course...
Thanks for all the hugs. PCR came back negative!Jinxed!
Faint RAT this morning. Mrsandye still negative for now
Nevertheless, isolating until the result is received should be the rule. Definitely that would be more sensible.Everyone 12+ has had plenty of time to get vaccinated.
With all international arrivals needing to test negative on a pre-departure PCR the positive rate on arrival testing would be very low.
International arrivals make up a very small percentage of cases now. We have to learn to live with some risk.
An arrival RAT would make more sense than doing an arrival PCR with a lengthy wait for results.
I think in this present time, there will be those that are responsible (follow fair isolation - usually based on past directives/commonsense) and those that follow the law/loophole (which is less strict). With over 500,000 active cases in Australia - the restrictions are dialled way down. What SA is doing is just ridiculous with PCR testing and overseas arrivals. The requirement here is to arrive into SA and then isolate until you are tested. That's it, once tested you are free to roam. No need to see if it's negative. Son arrived to SA from UK late Friday night. He was symptomatic and in any case was tested Saturday morning. He later that day took a RAT. It was strongly positive. He isolated. Tuesday, today, he still has not got his PCR result. His partner has, it's negative. He could have been roaming freely in a community that is quite vulnerable. He didn't, he was responsible. How the heck can this be ok?
1000% agreeEveryone 12+ has had plenty of time to get vaccinated.

Absolutely however four days and counting before advising of results is also an issue. The negative results took three days.Nevertheless, isolating until the result is received should be the rule. Definitely that would be more sensible.
Nope at least they weren’t last week.Anyone know if they are handing out RAT kits in SYD international arrivals?

Could be one way to fund future trips - if you have some empty luggage capacity. Modest mark-up (not HN standards) and help your local area gain access to RATs...Nope at least they weren’t last week.

I will be bringing a lot home with me but I wouldn’t remotely consider selling them as I got them free of charge.Could be one way to fund future trips - if you have some empty luggage capacity. Modest mark-up (not HN standards) and help your local area gain access to RATs...
