Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

I have a short Hawaiian trip booked for June.
My concern is testing positive whilst in Hawaii. What the heck do I do then ?

Still pondering a UK trip for two weeks in Nov/Dec ,however again my concern is testing positive coming home.
Really hoping those tests are soon no longer required

While it lasts, I got insurance to cover any additional hotel stays due to covid (could be up to two weeks I suppose).

I dunno how much longer insurance companies will continue to offer that as a benefit if pre-arrival testing hangs around. Could become too expensive for them to offer it.

Finally made it back home! I have to say the process was fairly easy at MEL. Apart from the masks, it didn't feel like anything different.

It does feel great to see sunshine that actually lasts for a few hours - probably more sunshine than I have seen in 2 years in London haha.

Emirates will reinstate Airbus A380 services to Brisbane Airport from March 1, linking the Queensland capital to its Dubai hub
Funny, I was just talking to my wife today about a holiday later this year and who we’d fly with etc. ( redemption). My reply was that I was keen to see the Middle East airlines increase their flights and there it is, maybe a sign!

I suspect if the flights were full and generating big revenues they would have found a plane.
Exactly. I would have though a temporary reduction in schedule, to say 3 days per week, or so. Even put the B777 back on the route if there are no B787s around.

Hi everyone. We are the Californians waiting for clearance to take our vacation in Port Douglas. Is this latest opening what we have been waiting for? We had a false alarm last month about who was allowed in and the AFF crew came through and clarified the opening was only of a limited scope. This opening sounds like it is for everyone but I won't go forward on that presumption until I hear from the AFF membership, as you have been our primary source of credible information.

Provided you have had at least two doses of the vaccine you can come now, I think.

Port Douglas is in the tropical far north of Queensland. So the wet season up there is summer i.e. this time of year. The best weather is probably a bit either side of winter, say April or September give or take a bit.
