Epic fail at Mel on Friday.
QF410 to Syd. Gate 1.
For once I decided to stay in the lounge until the flight was called, as I didn't have big carry on, and didn't need to get there early to ensure I had a place for my cabin bag. Stupidly thinking, no worries, priority boarding, by the time I get to the gate I will be able to just breeze up to the priority lane and whisk onboard. Didn't happen
Approx 100 people in general boarding lane, and another 100 or so in priority.
I asked the FA when I eventually got to the scanner - "priority boarding not really working is it?"
He just grunted and said something like " they just keep on coming"
*insert first world problem rant here*
I'm getting really sick of Qantas Enhancements and not delivering on promised benefits. Been flying a fair bit lately (2-4 flights a week) and haven't felt the love once from Qantas. No CSM greetings, fail on priority boarding, no room in the lounge, sick of getting offered a cookie as a "meal"
Im probably going to regret opening up a whole can of worms here, yes I know CSM greetings not a published benefit, yes I know you fly 28 sectors a week, yes i know you prefer to eat at the airport anyway, yes I know its only a short flight and why do i need food etc etc etc, but Im feeling unloved Qantas. Don't promise a full service airline if you aren't really delivering.
RedRoo, why can't FA's police the priority boarding? As per ChasingDaylights post above - if people knew it was always enforced, they would not just line up where they please.
On a positive note - home at last, and feeling the love currently from my doggie who has missed me this week and has planted all 50kg of herself on my lap.
