Now isn't that just going to make it worse, they couldn't cope when only P and above along with J class customers used it. Going to be a waste of time IMHO opinion now.

What will they do when the Silvers starting moving into the priority line.

The only way I can see this even remotely working is if the Lines are FULLY policed and offenders turned away.

Agree - it is already a waste of time as they have been unable to do domestic Priority Boarding for J class and Platinum customers for the last 2-3 years (hint: look at the age and length of this thread).

Some of them already do - along with any Bronze, Non QFF etc whom just join the PB lane and are not sent back to the normal boarding lane.

Exactly, zero enforcement = zero compliance, hence a thread that has gone on for 2-3 years.

I agree with medhead to a certain degree - time for QF to give up.

Qantas really only has two real options, either 'fess up and simply give up on PB, or take all of the suggestions on here along the lines of clearer signage, enforcement, walking down to the other end of the terminal and seeing how VA do it, enforcement, adequate staff, enforcement, training staff, enforcement, adequate resources and finding staff/management that are willing to do enforcement...

As someone who pushed for Qantas to actually provide this published benefit of domestic priority boarding, in the beginning. Following attempted implementation and the excessive time period that they just can't do it, give up is the only option. Admit Qantas management has failed and move on.

I couldn't agree more, I said it early on in this thread.

Was told off in a rather rude and condescending way by AA in JFK boarding a flight to LHR once for boarding in the wrong group. Certainly no apology when I pointed out the the attendant my OneWorld Sapphire membership I had at the time. ...
Didn't your BP have "Priority AAccess" on it? (With your sapphire frequent flyer number in the booking, this should have been the case.)

QF438 this afternoon was operated by a 738 and had two hosties doing check-in.

Calling now the demise of the current platinum level in the next 12 months.

So all that's happened is that QF have fallen into line with one world rules

There is no requirement for an airline, any airline, to treat their home program members IAW Oneworld rules.

Flew SYD-MEL yesterday and noticed the new signage. Am very glad to see it is black with very clear wording re eligibility.

I boarded during the process and the priority line was clear with a long regular line. The FA on the priority side was serving regular line pax until I walked down and then served me first. Actually the person on the regular side stopped just prior to the scanner to let me through which was good.

To support these pax any person not eligible for PB must be referred to the correct line.

This is how PB should be done and let's hope that QFd have finally got it right.

No, no requirement at all. QF can really do what they want. What they have done is removed an inconsistency.

Or they are removing another point of difference between platinum and gold. Devaluing platinum status yet again.
