Priority Club, TopGuest and getting 50PC points a day

I have no idea where the HI is at SYD, but can confirm that I successfully checked in there from the T3 J lounge tonight.

I wonder if the 50 Hhonors points sign up bonus qualify for activity on my account? Haven't had a stay at the Hilton for nearly 12 months.

Its way OT but if your keen to get 50 PC points using Foursquare and like beer, then you should also check in to First Choice Liquor, the special for check ins at present is 50% off any 4 or 6 pack. Getting points can be thirsty work ;)

Now I'm at the Crowne Plaza in Melbourne and once again can't work out how to get this to work on facebook. Any suggestions?

touch.facebook.com isn't giving me the option of posting a location.

edit: Never mind, I got foursquare working instead.

As the mayor at the Crowne Plaza , I can advise that both ways work (places in facebook, or foursquare).

Been a while since posts have posted across to PC though.

Other programs are much more frequent.

markis10 keeps ousting me as mayor of Holiday Inn Brisbane... I think anat0l already commented about it on twitter.

Looks like it is every 2-3 weeks they post.

ROFL, pity I only seem to get every second days points! As mentioned on twitter I am somewhat embarrassed about one of the other mayor positions I have involving a certain JQ flight!

I am (or was, just been ousted) the mayor of IC Park Lane, London :p

NB, SPG are now doing something similar (but only for those with reservations):

After reading both markis10 and futaris check in at Holiday Inn Brisbane I thought I should activate FourSquare and TopGuest to see what all the fuss was about.

After my recent stays in Crowne Plaza Canberra and Holiday Inn Sydney Airport I am only 210 points short of reaching Priority Club Platinum status, and the other good thing I have been able to check in on Foursquare at the Holiday Inn Roma Street from 2kms away. I have had 4 check in credit so far in just over a week and I have more than 2 months to get the remaining points.

100 check ins to get 5,000 points is not that easy though but a nice top up to the points bonus.

Interesting, I can usually do +/- 100m away, however once I was 50m away from the IC Park Lane and it told me straight away the check-in didn't count. Anyway, as I was passing later in the day, tried again and all good.

Thanks for the tip, I've just checked in to the nearest HI to me (700m from where I live) and I've already had a response back saying "you've earned your 50 points today" as a result:!: :p:D

After 10 or so foursquare check ins over the last month I have now ticked over to Priority Club Platinum, Top guest credited within the hour.

My next stay is at the Intercontinental in Berlin, I would be extremely lucky to get lounge access but you never know. I ticked over Gold status for the first time in Europe and the next stay was Copenhagen and I got lounge access. Ok not the best lounge but a few free drinks was nice after a day of flying.

I've loaded four square and it is a bit better than facebook. I'm now mayor of HI Potts Point and will get Crowne Plaza Adelaide and HI Mascot shortly.

Just one question is it 50PC points per day or per property per day? I think the first as I checked into HI Potts point, darling harbour, mascot and CP Adelaide on Thursday but only got one email for the first check in.

Sent from my iPhone using Aust Freq Fly app so please excuse the lack of links.

It is per day per program. SO you can only get 50PC points (in the normal course of events ) once a day.

Since I've been over in Aus, every time I try to do a Foursquare check-in it seems to hang my phone.... tried multiple times, multiple battery in/out etc. and still the same ! Frustrating.

Resurrecting this thread Bundy Bear put me on to topguest. At the rate I am belting along I'll have enough for a free night at a Holiday Inn in about 2017. An IC will take until about 2025.

I need to boast that I have become Mayor of HI Cairns though and with tourism as it is I did that with 4 check-ins and I am unlikely to be challenged. One question for anyone else using it. It's one check-in per day. Is that a Dallas Day, a Sydney Day or a straight 24 hours?

I have had a check in for BNE and SYD in the day come through !

It does not take long to rack up points for a pointsbreak:

You have earned a total of 13850 Priority Club Rewards points with Topguest.
