Hi all

In this post http://www.australianfrequentflyer....status-credits-2011-a-29970-3.html#post434190 markis10 suggests the existence of a Permanent Status Rating - a measure of how loyal you have been over a period of time.

I sort of like this concept but I am not 100% convinced of this particular measure. It penalises people who are moderately loyal to QF over a very long time. For example if you had been gold on and off for 20 years then that to me would be more loyal than a WP over three years - but in this model the short term WP would be deemed to be more loyal.

Any way - I was wondering what people's PSR is and whether that had any influence of comping/targetted offers etc.

Personally I am on a PSR of about 700 - I was comped to WP though due to my corporate situation rather than based on any PSR as at that time I was PS and had ranged about QP NB for the majority of the first 8 years of being a member of QF. I have racked up about 5000 SCs since April 2009.

I have had no offers for double SCs or the like.

I thought it would be interesting to see what people's PSR is.

12 years, 4098 SC = PSR of 341 (will be up to 398 once I complete this month's flights).

I guess I'm stuffed by the fact that I registered early when I didn't fly a lot and the I was only a lowly paid QP member for3 years or so before really getting into quite a bit of flying.

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

Just a touch above 700.

My experience with comping is that I will get one year of either comp or please explain, and if I miss the next year, I am moved down.

As for double SC, I got the offer when Tesna was supposed to start up, and I got one this time last year.

SC's (nee TC's) were introduced in September 1998.

Since then my PSR would be 1600.

After finding AFF in Nov 2004, my PSR has been 2600.

(I was 'comped' SG a couple of times 2000-2004)

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

PSR of 588. (Based on LT SC of 6,174 / 10.5 years).

Was comped to WP for the following year (whilst a WP) in Jan 2006. Since then been at the SG mark until this year when I went back up to WP again. Had 1,200 SC in Feb 2010 and not comped to WP (as I needed 200 more SC at the time).

Worked hard to get my 1,400 in Feb 2011 to get my current WP status.

First time I have received this double SC bonus but it was GREAT timing for me as I want to requalify for WP for next year as I do not want to travel too much in the next few years apart from holidays.

Regards
Daniel

Mine's just 518 at the moment (member since 2002 & 4645 SCs) but that'll be 750+ by July with the double SC offer and probably on the up with a redeployment to the LOTFAP for the next couple of years.

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

PSR of 348. Joined in 2001. Then forgot that I'd even joined. :p Was NB until achieving both SG and WP in 2009 (bypassed PS for some reason, think it had something to do with me not getting in 4 QF Group segments until my SG-qualifying flight). Been WP since. The figure would be much higher had all those flights I credited to AAdvantage between 2005 and 2009 been credited to QFF instead.

Same here - I would be LTG by now - but I wouldnt have had 2xJRTW and 2xJ SYD-LHR-SYD ;)

Mine is around 42. Always been an NB (for ~12 years), and never gotten a Loyalty Bonus. Almost all oneworld flying I credit to AAdvantage, except where it earns zilch...

I have a PSR of 547.66 (8215SC's/15 years) but I was PS for the first 12 years.

I have not received the current offer but did get one last year I recall.

I'm a scientist so have pretty good records. PSR estimated to be 296 at the end of my current membership year.

Got the double SC for international flights at the end of 2010. Nothing else.

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

PSR 650 since 1998. QFF member since 1994.

Have been comped to SG twice. Have never been WP (although I did get to 1250 SC one year - couldn't be bothered doing a status run). Am LTS.

Got the double SC promo once many years ago and it got me to SG for the first time, but have never had the same promo offered again. Have only been back to PS for one year since then. (Learned my lesson).

Agree that long-term SG shows more loyalty than short-term WP - especially if SG is mainly personally-funded not work-funded.

130 here.

Have been a member for yonks, but NB until I found AFF several years ago and started crediting to QF in earnest, following a detour through AAdvantage.

No email now or last year, though I did get the survey+double SC offer for international flights only in Dec last year when I was completely unable to use it.

290 for me (5800 /20 years membership but that's if you measure it from 1991,if you calculate it from 1998 then it would be 5800/13 which is 446. I've never been comped anything but I did have a couple of years in the UK with little flying.
Cheers

I joined in 1999 purely to become a Qantas Club member for a single overseas trip, but between 1999 and 2005 I didn't fly at all with Qantas so didn't earn anything in the way of Status Credits.

I'm currently sitting on 8515 SCs, so that's a PSR of 709 since joining or 1419 since 2005.

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

By my reckoning I have run up about 16,000 SC's since 1998 (excluding bonuses), so that gives me a score of about 1300..

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

Another observation - if PSR is planned to be a long term loyalty assessment then toddlergr is screwed. I got him an everyday rewards card and QF membership as soon as he was born pretty much but he wont earn many SCs for a long time so he will be permanently behind in the PSR ...

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

Interesting notion of a PSR.

Would put me at around 646 or so, and have only been comped once as PS many moons ago.

Interestingly enough, over half of my LTSC's have been earned in the past 3 years and i've been a member sine 2001.

That value will be around 750 by the end of the year though with planned flying.

It's really no good going by join date if it was earlier than 1998.

I joined in 1994 and had over 300 flights that are not included in my LT SC's.

My overall calculation was based on 12½ years.
