Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

At the moment, mine is 260, but will be 400 in 6 days time. However, that will drop to about 360 in a few months, and hopefully back up to around 420 by the end of the year. All of which are completely self-funded though.

Never received any special promotions as such. :(

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

I'd be more inclined to think it's based on $$$cash$$$spent and since SC and $$ usually go hand in hand, there's a perception it's based on SC.

PSR would put me just over 1,000.

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

My PSR is 123 - have been a QFF member since 1997, but the vast majority of my flying has been in the last 12 months. I made Gold between June and November 2010, and I am just about to re-qualify Gold again. All Discount Economy flying.

I received the Double Status Credit promotion in November 2010 and used it in January 2011.

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

My PSR is 3835

QFF Member for 3.5 years - currently on 13425 SC ... 600SC coming up in June - LTG in less than 4 years :p. Down side, majority domestic Y ...I'm feeling it too.....

Got the offer for double SC although not quite sure how much that will help now!

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

My PSR is about 2000 and I have benefited by getting bumped from row 24 to 34 on my last flight. Thanks QF...

Do we have any actual evidence that this measure

a) exists?
b) is at all useful to Qantas?

I don't think so but it has certainly created a lot of calculator use today!;)

a) No
b) No

I think the fact that we have everyone from Bossreggie to NB's getting the double SC promo shows that QF have a couple of people out the back playing "Rock/Paper/Scissors" to decide the targeting of their promos ;p

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

MY PSR is 1945, since the collapse of Ansett it is 2500.

I got the double SC offer, so don't think a low PSR counts.

I’d fly that in dom Y if someone else was paying! That’s an amazing number of SC in so little time

Calculator! That's so last century. Spreadsheet for me

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

About 8,400 lifetime SCs, and I think I joined in 1997, so my PSR would be around 560 - but like some others, the vast majority of my SCs have been earnt in the last 3 years (around 2,000 SCs each year)

Well my PSR is 77.
Mrs.dr.ron is 309.

Now I have been crediting to AA.But then they also have a marking system for Aadvantage and somehow I have scored well there.Getting upgrades as a plat ahead of an EXP,getting extra award or upgrade seats released. So I am not unhappy with my low QFF score.
There have been threads on TB and FT about this but I cant find them at the moment.

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

Joined 2006. 15,090 SC's to this point. So PSR about 3000.

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

Joined QF in late 2001 (after the AN bankruptcy) and with approximately 18000 hard earned SC (not one 'bonus' or 'ASA' SC amongst them), my lifetime PSR would be about 1900. My rolling five year PSR would be well over 2500. Never been comped any status by QF and never received any targeted promotions. WP+PG since 2006.

QF have benefited greatly from my PSR but I do not think I have.

QF (and a few other companies) appear to reward disloyalty more than loyalty. Those who are faithful get nothing (but grief) from QF and those who go elsewhere get rewarded (by various promotions etc) by QF.

If QF does use the PSR system, I wonder what your rating has got to be to get even a basic level of customer service? If your PSR is 1900 and it takes more than five months to get a standard 'form letter' response from 'premium' customer care, I would like to know what your PSR would need to be to get a response in say one month (despite their quoted seven day response time).

Maybe your PSR shows how 'whipped' you are by QF? The higher it gets, the less QF think they need to do to keep you.....

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

5 years, so PSR is around 1,850.

Qualified for WP for a few years, missed a year (was comped), then qualified last year. Hoping to make it again this year, but my PSR will still be well over 1,400 as of my next cutover date, so it'll be interesting to see if I'm comped, if I don't make it. :)

Cheers,
- Febs.

PS: Honeymoon trip booked just before both WP and SPG Platinum are due for renewal. Making the most of them 'til the (potential) very end!

8755 credits over 8.25 years so 1061 PSR but slowly trending down. Never got a double SC but was comped once to stay at WP

Re: PSR - Permanent Status Rating - what's yours and how do you think you have benefi

Permanent Status Rating? I don't believe it exists and if it does exist then I don't think it has a major part to play.

Anyway it is surprising that my PSR is that high compared to other AFFers. I have been a QFF member for 8 years, the last 4 years as a Platinum, and have a PSR of ~1,028.

Im in a very similar position - hung out until 2002 to join, just made LTG, so 14,000 odd SC's in 9 years, so PSR is about 1550 - but very heavy activity over the past 5 or so years - PG for the past 4. Again no bonus SC's, never been comped status.

And yes, i do wonder if a flashing light comes on when you call in that says this ones a sucker for punishment lol

That light gets a lot of use from members on this board - maybe that is in the QF profile. Lol
