We had a really wild ride back across the Drake , and I loved every second…. :)

 I would be fearing for my life. I get terribly seasick. The Manly ferry trip from Circular Quay is just long enough for me to start feeling queasy. :(

I have just bought some new fangled things called boarding ring glasses which claim to cure sea sickness. If I ever get delivery of them and can try them out, I will let you know if they work :) Still not sure whether they are snake oil or not, but worth a try.....

I've tried tablets and the pressure point wristband things. I did get an injection on the one cruise I've been on, which worked for a few days at least. This was many years ago when I was younger and before we really knew how badly seasick I got. Now I just try and avoid boats if I can, but unfortunately sometimes I just gotta suck it up and hope for the best.

none of us cope well in boats either. I have collected a whole heap of things to try on our Antarctica cruise in January, but quite fearful - our first ever cruise. Very envious of all the people on here who don’t have problems.... the glasses seem to have some science behind them - we will see ....

I used the Scopderm patches on my Galapagos trip and felt fine the whole trip. I had them brought in from NZ.

We’re on board and on our way. Wifi is a bit patchy so won’t try an upload photos. The ship is lovely. FM there’s a bit of swell but not too bad so far. The weather is fine and sunny. We have 4 days then South Georgia and penguins! :)

Veuve Cliquot on board for the Captain’s dinner last night, but haven’t actually had much to drink - pacing myself. A couple of wines with dinner and they do make a good cosmo! Passing on wine at lunch! Nespresso and tea making in the cabin which is great.
