VZC should be out soon shouldn't it? Do you think it's having a major maintience check as well as repairs. Surely it doesn't take this long to just do tail repairs?

Unlikely, BNE seems to do all the major stuff.
All depends on what got broken, parts availability etc. The tail has a few pretty important control surfaces

Looks like VH-VYC entered BNE last night after VH-XZO (previously refurbed in SYD came out).
Leaves VH-VXM as the only operating 737 without personal IFE.

Possibly including a lengthy check (VYA was in for 1mth 20 days)

VH-XZI has returned from refurbishment operating QF512 (SYD-BNE). This makes 51/67 completed at a total of 76%. VH-XZP (Retro roo 1) looks to be in for refurbishment. It's the only non refurbished 737 that is in Sydney and hasn't flown since last night.

It seems as if the Trans tasman b737 fleet is getting a refurb. In the Qantas 737 seat map page there is a new link http://www.qantas.com/infodetail/flying/inTheAir/ourAircraft/738J-12J162Y.pdf

ZK-ZQD is listed on its own in a new 12J/162Y configuration. As we know it is currently in Brisbane maintence.

Makes sense (to me at least:lol:), as this makes the entire 737 fleet completely interchangeable, as VH aircraft are increasing their presence on trans tas services, and there have been times when a ZK aircraft gets called to duty on a VH route. Same seatmap means no pax seating issue if subs happen:D

Yeah does make sense but is contrary to what was announced which is the ZK fleet wouldn't be touched.

Very interesting on ZQD given the initial press releases clearly excluded the Jetconnect aircraft but agree it makes sense.
Also interesting that they have upgraded the seat map before the aircraft is actually released

That's the nature of the airline biz (well, any business in fact). Things can change, (especially over 12+months), and I'm sure QF have their reasons why. My 'thinking', is just that...my 'thinking'. I don't have access to QFs business model;)

A case of 'premature seatmapulation':lol:
