Qantas A380 - Upper deck economy

Looking at an E/F seat map, 'no status' can get row 36. Unfortunately there's a bug currently that an Economy 388 seat map might not be returned if there a QFF number in the E/F profile.

I had no trouble getting seat maps for all classes just now (QF1 in September). It shows row 36 as Y with F/J/K allocated and D/E blocked, probably because of my lowly status.

That's the easy bit - not having a statused QFF number in your E/F profile.

WP get from row 32 and SG from row 34 (I think).

I am thinking PS seating is is not much different from NB (although there's no $25 seat selection fee).

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me? I'm only PS and trying to take a look at seatmaps on EF but it keeps coming up with errors. Have used it plenty of times successfully in the past. Tried removing my QFF number as well but it still isn't displaying any results.

Specifically looking at QF9, MEL-LHR departing Wed 9th of October. Wondering if any of the "good" Y seats are available? Upper-deck preferably, otherwise 80A/K or 71D?

Then return, LHR-DXB QF2 on Thurs 24/10 and DXB-MEL QF10 on 25/10.

Thanks so much in advance

See up-thread (take your QFF number out of the EF profile).

Looks like a problem related to Economy seat maps. PE returned a map for QF9 on 9/10.

Yeah I can bring up the PE maps but not economy. Serfty - I've taken out my QFF number and still no-go.

Thanks for the replies anyway.

I travelled last wednesday on QF2 and when i tried expert flyer and seat guru both came up with wrong configuration for 380 and consequently unreliable seating availability. The process of taking of QFF no worked but still inaccurate and consquently of little value. Once i had booked ticket plenty os seats available which previously appeared as blocked. Including upper deck Y and I'm only bronze QC don't go qantas very often. FWIW the upper deck was more relaxed atmosphere IMO.

Then take it up with ExpertFlyer Voice as posted here:
If you have an issue using ExpertFlyer, the first thing you should do is email us at [email protected] and ask us. This happens to be an issue where if you have a saved QF frequent flyer number in your ExpertFlyer preferences then Qantas has issues returning the Economy seat map of an A380. The seat map will show if you remove the QFF# from your profile.

Does anyone know what the progress is in re-configuring the original A380s? I wonder how many of the old configuration are still flying, and if so for how long.

Only 3 left in the old config, with OQA currently being refitted, so 2 left that are currently flying :(

QF93 is still showing as old config for my flight to LAX in 3 weeks time. I am checking daily so hopefully I can move my Y seat to upstairs. The return flight is new config and look forward to checking out upstairs.

Doing SYD/HKG/SYD in 380 Y upper, took what seats we could get. Over 35 J/K back 35 E/F any thoughts?.

Wear white socks in 35E/F to help reduce the number of times you are trodden on/tripped over ...

We paid for exit seats but really only got half (on way over), depart 12th Oct return 19th, not much choice now other than standard seats.

I was in 35D in February SYD to LAX, only had one person tread on the feet. The crew on that flight really made an effort to make sure passengers went around the back of us via the galley

What is the opinion on row 32 seat A & B on QF1? I also have the option of 71D&E and 80A&B.

Appreciate anyone's thoughts.

80A/B and 71D/E are good for pairs where one person needs the legroom and the other does not. 32A/B are good if both want extra space.
