Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

In regards to the status credit rollover, will Qantas only roll over any new status credits earned for the current membership year or does that include any rollover status from their prior year too?

QF never rolls over previously rolled over status credits. No double dipping! It will only be SCs earned this current membership year.

Current year only. Exceptions will be things like Green tier if earned but not claimed.

OK thanks! Apologies I realised that question is covered in their FAQ as well so that's fine. I already had 250SCs this year but most of that is from the prior year rollover, so I had wondered whether it was worthwhile getting any more SCs this membership year (but looks like it would be beneficial then for the rollover).

Received my J Lounge passes as a SG.
They are called "DBL", but no idea what it stands for, there's no Legend below for this type of lounge pass.

The simple things are just so hard for QF to get right.

I see peoples points are turning up, which is good - has anyone else still not even received the thank you email? I'm WP and have received nothing yet - I didn't really have any complaints with QF until now, but ironically this will actually cause discontent rather than make amends for it.

If you have not received even the original email that was sent out a few days after the original announcement I would definitely phone them.

Thanks, figured I'd have to endure that. Called and through straight away, but possibly the least useful QF rep I've ever spoken to (had to provide all my details manually, despite entering my number in the auto part of the call, usually that avoids all that). He had no idea what I was talking about, of course, and has had to "raise it"...so where that will go I shall assume will be nowhere.

Will call again later and hopefully get NZ or Hobart. Have also sent an email, which they'll prob reply to in February...

I'm disproportionately annoyed by this!

I’m in the same position as you. Didn’t get anything by email from Qantas regarding points or status extension. Also WP based in Australia. Ironic as I get daily emails from Qantas regarding all manner of things, just not this very important email. My husband got his email the first day the emails were sent out, and he is also WP Australia based. I’ve written to Qantas, however have had no reply or even acknowledgement of my email. You’re not alone. Cheers

I would say at least I'm not the only one, but that's no consolation haha. I guess they'll be dealing with heaps of complaints from those of us who have not received the email in that case. I get that QF are trying to do something nice here, but in typical fashion they've managed to screw it up...

Hey Pushka, did you get an email about this, or did you read it somewhere? Wondering if I might get the same extensiom. Thanks.
Just saw it in the Points notification - that the end date was April 2024 which is when Qantas status now expires. Go to Activity Statement on the Qantas page then on the left scroll down a bit until you see Points Club then click on that.

Thanks, I'll give it a try!

No joy, still November 2022 end date for me. I guess I just don't have your good looks and charm! 😏😏

I just presumed it had something to do with the status extension?
Both my QFF and Points Plus are showing February 2023. PC+ cannot extend yet anyway just in case I don’t spend the money, although I am wellover PC retention. Perhaps you have already spent enough on cruise deposits to renew PC+ already?
