Qantas bonus points not posting ( EDR CC )

Issued a letter of demand and instituted action against HSBC with the FOS on Friday for the missing QF bonus points. As the complaint is already more than 45 days old without resolution, the FOS can start acting on the dispute immediately.

As the dispute will now go through HSBC directly, bypassing the incompetent Woolworths call centre, I hope the missing points will be credited in the near future.
 
I would have thought your action wouls need to be against woolworths as your contract is with them.

Confirmed with Woolworths that any action with the FOS should be taken against the credit provider, which is HSBC Bank Australia Limited (this is who our contract is actually with, not Woolworths). I assume any costs will be passed through to Woolworths however.

Cool. I got as far up the chain as the woolworths compliance manager. Remains unresolved so ill write up another complsint.
 
Wow , im ABOUT to get my new statement, i wait with baited breath to see if my points have been credited. ill report here!

Definitely going to ditch this and move to bankwest i think.

I think I will not put any QF spend on this card until I could see more positive reports from AFFers.

My tiny amount (for SC run) also was not given the double points as promised.

Rang up once but I am not holding my breath given what I am seeing here.

Lucky for me it was a minuscule amount but they still managed to stuff it up.

Have another card in reserve though just for sticky situation like this.

What a shame !

It could have been better handled by HSBC / WOW and turned into a great card.

So after all you have been through, will you be keeping this card or time to cancel...?

I plan to cancel before annual fee is due and move to bankwest qantas platinum ... their site says zero foreign currency fees so I think its better.

I just got another statement without the extra points on the Qantas spend.

Continue the fight, pay the card off then cancel it. No need to continue deal with this incompetent mob anymore.
 
A little positive note for the EDRCC

Someone called me back one week after my enquiry with the good news that the bonus QFF points "had been manually entered".

Now, I am yet to see that on the EDR page.

Maybe it will be there with the next cycle.

Or...maybe not..

If true, that's a valid reason not to use this card any more given their 'effort' to make the phone call i.e. beyond incompetence!

It would then be just a pure lie.

Others thinking of getting this card should give some weight to this thread.

Of note, I saw threads on other cards (NAB, HSBC...) with the same QFF bonus issue.

? system-wide bug

Maybe not, i was never called back about this problem ever when promised until last week. And after they finally did call me back I have received the points in my new statement I got today.

I had a call back as a result of my email two days ago... they said they will investigate and get back to me. Let's wait and see.
Before they could hang up, I said I really was not happy having to follow up every time, and that if they cannot get it sorted out so these bonus offers process automatically I would need to look at another credit card. The person said they completely understood and would raise it with "management".
 
My bonus point from a QFF ticket purchase finally posted today after chasing them up a few times, waswoth it a it was over 7K point, but we shouldn't have to chase it.
 
Poor person that just rang me about my missing points. Copped an earful about the resolution times on it.....Really unacceptable performance from Woolworths EDR on this.
