You need to ask for the "Team Coach".In the initial call of 50 mins, 40 of that was Manilla trying to confirm if they could put me on MH.

YesIs this due to AY pilot industrial action?
No impact on BKK?
QF295 has operated as normal in March, but QF291 has only operated once since 2nd March. No impact on BKK?![]()
Looks like there is a spare AY aircraft sitting in SYD every day?QF295 has operated as normal in March, but QF291 has only operated once since 2nd March.

If i were to guess, AY probably said to QF they could only staff one flight and from QFs PoV that has to be BKK as SIN has more flights and options.QF295 has operated as normal in March, but QF291 has only operated once since 2nd March.
Finnair, including the wet lease, has been covered in a new Mentour Now! video. It would appear that the AY crews operating the QF flights are rotated between Finland and Australia via BKK. They have 9 day trips HEL-BKK-SYD-SIN-SYD-BKK-HEL.If i were to guess, AY probably said to QF they could only staff one flight and from QFs PoV that has to be BKK as SIN has more flights and options.
Or maybe QF can bring forward the dry lease timing? With several QF A330 aircraft with supply chain / maintenance issues, they probably have sufficient crew?Finnair, including the wet lease, has been covered in a new Mentour Now! video. If AY are having crew problems, then it would make sense for them to ask to reduce to 1 of the routes and shorten the trip time by dropping the SYD-SIN-SYD rotation.
It looks like QF291 only operated on 27 March, and there is one flight scheduled on 10 April. Rest looks pretty dire.QF295 has operated as normal in March, but QF291 has only operated once since 2nd March.
Any further updates to this? I'm due to fly QF291 to SIN on May 31st with a connection on the 19:40 3K flight to coughet. If there's no Finnair will Qantas automatically substitute QF81 onto this route?
QF are still selling flights on QF291 from 1 May onwards, so they must think it is going to operate given it is less than 3 weeks away. But the QF1/81 flights are shown up to 30/4/25.Any further updates to this? I'm due to fly QF291 to SIN on May 31st with a connection on the 19:40 3K flight to coughet. I think they're just zeroing out Premium economy that way its an eaiser aircraft swap.QF are still selling flights on QF291 from 1 May onwards, so they must think it is going to operate given it is less than 3 weeks away. But the QF1/81 flights are shown up to 30/4/25.
They might have refined their process, but for the April flights they zeroed all classes on QF291 quite early. Perhaps that was because of school/Easter holidays.I think they're just zeroing out Premium economy that way its an eaiser aircraft swap.
