It was open when I transited BNE on Sun 4 AprilI just checked today’s date. It’s the 12th April. The lounge was due to open on 2nd. Is this closure still on-going?

Had the same on QF642 on Thursday - thought it was foul. This morning’s CBR-SYD flight QF1504 breakfast of champions. With a 8.45 departure it was a pleasant surprise to see a sparkling wine available with breakfast before 9am.

Gosh this looks horrid. And not only because I'm allergic to fishBarramundi Curry on QF653 SYD-PER this week. Tasted better than it looked. And no Maggie Beer Ice Cream either...
I had the curry barramundi on my lunchtime departure flight DRW-BNE two weeks ago. It does taste much better than it looks, the fish was very meaty and there was the right amount of curry. It was delicious and a very popular choice on the flight - alternative was, as always with Qantas, a chicken dish.Gosh this looks horrid. And not only because I'm allergic to fish
Looks can obviously be deceiving! I'll get my better half to try it if on offer next week because I unfortunately can't.I had the curry barramundi on my lunchtime departure flight DRW-BNE two weeks ago. You probably could've guessed my sausage roll on my morning BNE-CNS on Friday. Couldn't be mistaken for anything else? Interestingly, full cabin and they only had 4 salads, the rest sausage rolls.I think we should change how posting works in this thread. You post a picture of the meal and the rest of us try guess what it is.

A sausage roll has always been a game of guess the filling

True that, I'm returning VA so I'll maybe put that meal on that thread.Simpler and fairer.
As much as I like food there are other reasons to fly business, not least of which is for more personal space and better leg room than most economy seats.Looks Qantas J class meal choice is
slop or
a sausage roll
I can't imagine why anyone in their right mind would pay for a business seats for these meal options!
True, all depends on personal preferences. For me, the food and drinks would be of number one importance- drinks actually probably more important as I love my booze, especially on international legsAs much as I like food there are other reasons to fly business, not least of which is for more personal space and better leg room than most economy seats.

But of course, I value the space as well and more so even, the generally more personalised experience: A nice friendly greeting by name, a little chat with the crew here and there and so on- something most Qantas (and admittedly also Air NZ) crews are quite good with. Heck, in Business, even flights with the likes of LH or AF can turn from Economy hell into outright enjoyable experiences if you're lucky with your crew.
There also another huge factor for me which is rather personal: I'm a person who needs constant input and some Marvel movie on the IFE just doesn't cut it for me. So, in Economy (especially in an aisle seat where you can't see outside), I find the times before push back and then waiting for meals and so on just pure terror. Nothing to see really, nothing to do- awful. In Business, I usually nip on a glass of champagne, have a little chat with my flight attendant, then look outside and watch the aircraft being packed and so on- lovely, I don't even realise how quick the time moves on. Same on the flight itself, a nice 5 course meal with extensive wine selections and you're half through a flight up to Singapore or Bangkok. And you then get a proper bed for the rest.
