Why are some services so much like the Americans, using bathroom instead of plain, TOILETS!
To me, a bathroom is where we shower, like at home or in a hotel...
Not a loo/toilet!

Americans don't actually use bathroom, its a restroom. Because, like you said, there is no bath in the toilet.

Aint no chair or bed in that room for a rest either.

Think the WC term is the most accurate, or dunny/outhouse...

Some of them have couches - CCR. Why would anyone want to take a rest near a dunny

I've heard them call it a "bathroom", which is almost as silly as "restroom". If they at least called it a reading room there might be some excuse for giving it a silly name.

Out of interest was this on a 717 or 737? Just curious to see if the (contracted) 717 service is any different to the 737.

I believe the window panel and seat on the 1st picture clearly shows that it's a 738 service rather than a 712 service :)

Sorry, I don't remember what it was called.

QF1554 CBR/BNE 19:20 STD 717-200

J seating was different quality to 738, upper seatback changed to QF iPad resting area.

We were 25 mins late departing due to ATC - as was the previous CBR/BNE flight (I was already in Lounge to hear it's delayed call).

Meal: Fish with Tartare sauce, kipfler potatoes and . Passion fruit cheesecake. Washed down with SC Pannell Red (CSM was rushed with service as he has 12/12 J pax, didn't show me bottle)

As James Bond said to the SPECTRE agent in From Russia with Love: red wine with fish?
