Yes. I can’t comment on the taste but any food in a plastic bag should be bannedgrisly

Yep, not a seat to be had on December 23 for the 11.45am to AKL. Didn’t help that the 9.45 was delayed by 1.5 hours. Resembled a zoo, did a circuit and straight out the door again. Ended up at The House with Priority Pass. The Qantas business lounge for international at Sydney has been a disgrace for close to a decade. One of the worst home-port lounges of a "premium" airline I can think of.

I forgot to ask what’s serving just absentmindedly asked for the sparkling. It arrived n so I thought I’ll pretend to drink a bitOH no. Not back to Yarra Burns.. that's even worse than Grant Burge!!!!
*SMH*
I wouldn't have gone near domestic sparkling if I was headed to the Flounge... just sayin!
FLounge options just only slightly better. It was pommeroy, piper heidseick or jacquard….OH no. Not back to Yarra Burns.. that's even worse than Grant Burge!!!!

No boarding drink. Rueben was good but did not finish as saving room for first lounge visit
That is one incredibly sad looking reuben sandwich!
Looks good but isn’t that a NP inspired salad keeping the prawn company?30 Dec QF2 5SYD-HND
Managed to get one of the Japanese meal option as they run out quick. By far this is the best business class meal of any flight I have taken. Brings back the old days of proper dining. Tasty, Fresh, Well presented proper food and not that “salad”

Pretty sure it's actually a croque monsieur

More like a 'crock of cough' ... I can't believe they persist with this in J.Pretty sure it's actually a croque monsieur
It’s both maybe as the inside is corned silverside with mustardPretty sure it's actually a croque monsieur
But it’s Qantas so I had very low expectations. Their version of the Japanese meal is definitely an improvementYes, God forbid they'd splurge on a bit of corned beef . But I'd just call it a toasted cheese sandwich, or maybe "no thanks".
THE JAL version

Was the beef actually good? I had an awful experience with the beef on the Japanese menu last time I flew QF25. Rest of it was great though.30 Dec QF2 5SYD-HND

My SIL’s one was overdone. Mine was ok medium well. My brother did not make a comment so I guess it was also acceptable otherwise we’d know . Flavor wise and seasoning was perfect like you’d expect Japanese beef to be cooked. They tend to be mild in their flavor enhancement rather relying on the protein to express itself. So yes I got the yummy flavor if beef itselfWas the beef actually good? I had an awful experience with the beef on the Japanese menu last time I flew QF25. Rest of it was great though.
@encryptededdy how did yours turn out ? Just curious .Was the beef actually good? I had an awful experience with the beef on the Japanese menu last time I flew QF25. Rest of it was great though.

Ouch sorry to hear that. Yes, scoop into plate is so not Japanese . I guess I was lucky it turned out ok. Beef is so dicey.Very much overdone
Also my rice wasn't served in a bowl, it was just a scoop of rice on the plate with the beef.
