Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Breakfast today on QF417 - I didn't hear what they called it. It was nice but had a lot of water on the plate that made it hard to eat

Sorry no pics, but from two recent J flights:

An 8:45 Sydney to Melbourne 767 flight, not breakfast but light refreshment. Very pleased to be offered 3 choices - smoked trout salad with potatoes etc (delicious) a toasted egg and bacon sandwich (looked good) or fruit salad. Several flight crew seated in front rows (including next to me) but they were offered their choices and served last. Only juice offered (didn't ask for a grenade).

A 12:55 flight on the 737 Melbourne to Canberra. 'Lunch' was no choice, a small chicken salad. Tasty but seriously not of a proportion to be called lunch. Wine served but no refills. Short flight but there were only 3 of us in J plus two pilots. CSM spent a bit of time (but not unreasonably) looking after a customer in Row 4 - I presume a CL. CSM made quite a fuss when he boarded.

Fine but not outstanding.

I've found some time to post some pics of QF J meals in the last few months:

Date: 05 Nov 14

Flight: QF971 TSV - BNE
Service: Lunch
Meal: Prawn Salad
Remarks: The prawns were fresh and the lettuce crunchy. I would select this meal again.

Flight: QF663 BNE - ADL

Meal: Bean and bacon soup

Had a return J flight last week

PER-BNE: Tomato and Basil soup for the small plate and decided on the lamb koftas for the 'large plate' WTF there was 3 small little meatballs a little sauce and 2 cherry tomatoes on the plate :-| wtf who in their mind would think thats the main. The FA talked my missus out of getting it as the 'main hot meal' was a fish of the day thing which was just downright bloody cough prefer to use the F and S words to describe lol it was so bad (funnily had the same meal PER-KTA 4 days later and it was 1000000x times better and didn't taste like off fish with soy sauce so that was a much better experience)

Dessert was a triffle thing and that was amazing!!

BNE-PER - Small plate was a bacon scone and that was nice but they ran out by the time they got to row 4 on our side. Large plate I got the omelet with lamb sausages....by far the worse thing I have ever been served on a plane it was inedible and everyone around me didn't eat it either the sausages were shocking who ever thought of lamb sausages should be shot they are terrible, the omelet was horrifically overcooked it was bloody awful.

Coconut and Choccy cookies served mid flight and they were bloody beautiful!

Dissapointed in the trans-con meals though, they were downright awful. Heading back in a few weeks in J so will be interesting to see if it's the same quality or as bad or worse.
