Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Last month (November) had the "white fish pie" 3 times on flights to ADL, MEL & HBA (it was OK, but would not have it a 4th time) and a chocolate tart 4 times (very nice - goes well with coffee).

Gruyere and bacon omelette with slow-roasted tomatoes for breakfast on QF608 last Saturday morning. It was delicious and chock full of bacon lardons! Yum!

Thai beef salad with glass noodles and jalapeno dressing on QF625 last Sunday.

I've had this before and it is quite tasty, if not a little difficult to eat on account of the slippery noodles.

The pear tart is my absolute favourite QFd J dessert at the moment. I think it has chocolate and orange and nuts in it. A-MA-ZING!

I've got a Adelaide - Cairns return trip next year in J. I'm lactose intolerant. I've looked under dietary meals and couldn't find anything in that category. Am I missing something or just going to hope my stomach likes me on the day. They look like wonderful meals. Just haven't flown with my recent diagnoses.

There are a few dietary types that are not listed online. Give QF a ring and ask them to add VGML (vegan) to your profile. QF does not offer NLML (No Lactose MeaL) which you may be able to select with other airlines.

Oooh... I had this on my PER-BNE flight lunch flight on Monday. Didn't get any pics because I ate it all up before I could!

It is actually very good, but you are right about the noodles.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Looks like the gluten free option is the best choice for myself. If they don't contain any milk products. Has anyone had the gluten free choice in J? Wondering what the gluten free meals are like?

The heart shaped muffins are dreadful/awful/horrible.

The wines were very popular on this flight, more then 3 bottles of Wirra Wirra Riesling and at least 2 bottles of St. Hallett Shiraz were consumed between 12 pax in less then two hours.

Afternoon Refreshment on QF452 last Thursday

Poached Chicken on Green Bean and couscous salad. Was quite tasty and not too heavy given how close the flight was to dinner. The mayo on top was delicious!

Dessert was a Lemon Tart which was equally as good.

I got bored on a frequent route of the same food, so decided to pick a special meal and between the two of us on these flights went through the lot. The route was only Per - Kal, but on the meals / snacks there wasn't a lot of difference between them, Diabetic meal had ham salad sandwich, while the Halal meal had the same minus ham

By Kal do you mean KGI (Kalgoorlie) as Kaltag is in the USA? ;)

This "refreshment" was also dinner for a MEL-SYD flight on Sunday.

As someone with a dietary quirk (allergic to seafood), I no longer order the special meals. They aren't good. I've found it much better to wait and see what's offered on board then ask the FAs to put aside a meal I can eat so they haven't run out of it when they reach me. Of course, in the past they rarely served seafood on the plane so it was less of an issue. It was generally chicken or beef/lamb or vegetarian. I have noticed more and more fish on the menus these days.
