Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Obviously they were taken off the menu due to the raised terror alert level. As someone told me recently, "Regrettably, for some time to come, Australians will have to endure more security than we're used to, and more inconvenience than we'd like" and I'm pretty sure he was talking about desserts. I wouldn't trust that returned dessert.

It was a good dinner and I enjoyed each and every dish, partly because I was hungry after missing lunch but mostly because the food was done properly.
The wines on offer were from Margaret River. Two whites (Sauv Blanc and Chardonnay), only one red (Cab Sav) and for dessert Noble One and Tokay from Seppeltsfield.
An interesting announcement before landing: "All electronic devices must be switched off completely for an auto land operation". First time I hear it since the they changed the rules.

So what was bad about it?

I went J between BNE and PER recently, too, which is a very rare occurrence for me. The dinner-time meal was fantastic: sesame-encrusted salmon for starter and extremely tender beef for main. I was very pleased.

Unfortunately, the beverages were not up to the same standard. In particular, that WA Sauvignon Blanc you mention is really not good. :(

mrpooky.

That's the only one out of all 5 verities on offer that I haven't tried (not a big fan of Sauv Blanc) so I'll take your word for it.
The Chardonnay and Cab Sav were OK but not something I would buy for myself. I had much better wines in J which I also end up buying later from epiQure :)
I did enjoyed the dessert wines very much.

Remember the days when you'd get an actual identifiable piece of meat? They seem to be getting rarer these days - with a preference for off-cuts in some kind of stir-fry as opposed to a whole fillet. Feels like mean cost-cutting.

MEL-SYD Breakfast
Enjoyed one of my last B767 domestic flights with tasty egg & ham muffins served with Australian sparkling wine.
Oh, and thanks QF for the gate op-up :)

What turned my stomach was the ignoramus (a middle aged woman) in 1A. Sorry, that was inappropriate dear...no idea how the young lady in 1C stayed there, I would have said something to the CSM.
