Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Same, though in business you shouldn't really have to ask...

Absolutely. Sometimes I think it is absent-mindedness. But other times when you see them walk back with the trolley and pack away the bottles (not just place them in the galley, actually close lids and put them in storage) it's clearly deliberate. Not just QF.

I've had the FA wander up and ask "need anything?" and it leaves me wondering if they don't notice the empty glass, or just cant be bothered...

Hi Kermatu, it doesn't appear as an option for dinner. I have been offered soup for lunch /mid afternoon flights on this route though

Thanks for that. Not sure why I asked as I rarely have soup. Just seemed kind of odd to not be offered for a reasonably lengthy flight, and in winter.

Nice photoshop effort there. You almost fooled everyone but QF would not really serve that in transcon J....
Deeply wounded at such an utterance PS

Chorizo dog clearly on the menu below

FWIW i had to take the next day off with gastro. May/may not have anything to do with the dog but i will be choosing something (anything) else on the next transcon.

I had the little chorizo hotdog last week and for as bland as it looked, it was the best feed I've had in J in a long time!

It does not say much for the quality of the current QF J menus if a hotdog is the best thing they have on offer.

I have an opportunity coming up where I was looking to book a BNE-PER flight on QF to give the new Dom J lounge a try. However, if the best I can expect in J is a hotdog, I will not bother and take my usual VA flight home in J instead.

QF711 CNS-BNE 7/7/17 1750 departure

Choice of prawn noodle salad or roast chicken
Was one flight which got diverted to Sydney because of fog

Pretty much everyone was left to find own accommodation and yet to rebook flights

OH that silly Koko black chocolate, did we not get rid of that? OR are we only get a box of dessert on dinner flights now?

status credit run today with my RDO.
MEL-SYD-OOL-SYD-MEL with the double SCs on offer a few months ago.
I didn't realise at the time of booking how fine I cut it with the time between flights. In most sectors, I had no more than 10 minutes before reboarding.
Little did I know that once I got to SYD I would have the same crew for the next three sectors. Try explaining that to them. WHat would you do?
First sector was MEL-SYD 7.30am QF412 on the A330-200 which was a nice way to start.
Breakfast was quite nice although the quiche thingy was a bit salty. The eggs were absolutely perfect.

2nd sector was SYD-OOL at 9.50am
Choice of eggs and mushrooms or a toastie. I chose the toastie, which had beef and cheese. It was surprisingly nice.

3rd sector OOL-SYD was at 11.50am which ended up being half an hour late.
Choice was barramundi and I didn't need to listen to the rest. I love barra.
Was a bit tough, but still quite edible. Had a couple of glasses of riesling.
By now the cabin crew and I were on first name basis.

Last sector was SYD-MEL at 1.50pm. This was a snack flight.
After all the meals I had, I didn't feel like anything to be honest. Choice was pork belly (I don't do pork), a pumpkin soup and a cheese 'platter'.
I chose the cheese, which actually hit the spot .

After that, the cabin crew gave me a packaged bottle of cab sav. Cannot speak highly enough of the crew. Cara was awesome and I will be giving very positive feedback to QF about her. In her words when I disembarked: "I will never forget you" and one of the other FAs, who was lovely, said "I feel like we should all be going out to dinner tonight:.
Well done QF. You have some wonderful assets there and they are not aircraft. They are human beings that make our travels so much more enjoyable.

I had the pork belly (among other dishes) on my MEL-BNE-DRW-BNE-MEL status run and it was pretty good. I had the same crew for BNE-DRW return and it was hilarious talking to them after they discovered what I was up to. I agree they were good value and were the right level of friendly. I like the idea of having the group dinner afterwards!

Actually just telling them what you are up to is the best bet. They'll get it once you explain what you're doing. It happens quite a bit
