I was just on your flight and had the Caesar. Was actually tasty once the salt and pepper were added!

Isn’t salt compulsory with chicken??? (and eggs, tomatoes and potato!)

i had the chicken salad with grains the last week… delicious once, as you say, salt added!

Sure was, didn’t realise how close to retirement they were. Must admit I did monitor the outbound as I know they’re prone to mechanical issues.

The crew was very very young as used to mainline QF but only small differences like use of name consistently etc.

This one may be served on all flights 5pm and after but may have been on the same flight.

Was one of my least favourite dinner options I’ve encountered in a while but the 2020 Malbec went down a treat

I wonder if that has much to do with National Jet Systems contracts and odd (delayed) aircraft delivery?

They've gone from operating 23 717's to just three 717 and just 4 A220s, sure an extra 25 A220s are on the way but the NJS workforce has to be smaller and growing with more staff given the situation.

QF 922 SYD-CNS. Thai curry that was pretty good and had a hint of a kick. Rice slightly overcooked but better than dried out. Flight departed an hour late but crew is lovely. Orange semolina cake really deserves its retirement.

Had the identical meal on CNS-MEL on the A330 today. It’s my own fault as the other option was lamb and potato and I’m picky about my lamb. Rice was again overcooked and the semolina cake was weirdly stale and not good today (and had a hilarious expiry date of August 2025 on the box which absolutely cannot be accurate?). One would have thought after all this time this trusty staple would have been mastered. Crew, per usual, was lovely, and it’s always nice to get the wide-bodies on domestic flights.

Thanks for letting me know. Will be on the QF73 this week and would have likely picked that....would love to know what they other options are so I can avoid that

Continuing the thread on Breakfast.
The bacon and cheese croissant, was, ok... Had a very 'porky smell', if you know what I mean.

I was wondering if I was supposed to stuff the rocket into the croissant, or just eat it like that. As mentioned previously, no dressing, just dry.

Excellent photo but given croissants can be so flaky, it's inevitable bits end up on the carpet unless one is a skilled diner.

coughroaches deserve to be fed I guess.

My first go of the "new" menu last week on MEL-BNE.

Noting Koko Black seems to be gone now (per otger pics also) and back to the boxed cakes. I have mixed thoughts - the cakes are generally OK, but choccy is easier to keep to have later if desired. Eh

Only two choices (maybe soup enhanced out again?) A chicken salad, and the "pork with noodles":



This was fairly tasty. Nothing to blow one away, but most definitely a filling option. Wine was a South Aussie Sauv Blanc that was OK.

Service was good. Crew profusely thanked me for swapping so a couple (upgraded) could sit together. Someone said I was a "hero" which seems to be going a little far, but ok lol

I was on the same flight!!

I had the chicken with caper salsa topping and polenta. The chicken was almost cooked to perfection! Not quite ‘juicy’, but not too far off. I always choose it because i love the polenta. This was probably the best i’ve had the chicken cooked.
