Qantas Cash - combined frequent flyer and travel money card

The T&C's gave me a chuckle today....points are not awarded for spend on 'Adult Entertainment'. I wonder why it matters? Surely, the providers of these services haven't 'screwed' the banks on the commission they charge?
 
Tried to use my Qantas Cash Mastercard today to make an online reservation at a hotel in France. One of those places where they just make a note of the card but do not actually charge until you stay there. But the system asked for the "cryptogram" and I couldn't work out what to enter there. The CVC number didn't work. So I kept getting an error message. I've emailed the hotel but can anyone explain what I should have entered in that space?
 
Thanks, opusman. In that case I'll try again. Someone up-thread had a similar problem making an event booking in the States with the card. The verification process seems to hinge on the postcode, so I'll also try entering the postcode alone without the state abbreviation.

If you are having problems you can call the QantasCash call centre to get assistance and tell you why it failed. I had issues once and it turned out i hadnt updated my address once i moved so my post code i was entering was wrong. Mind you there is no way to update the post code without calling them since you cant do it online. Remember that the QFF and QCC profiles arent linked.
 
Thanks, Sdtravel. Still not working. Got through to Qantas Cash (took ages, of course). They have my correct address and postcode, and confirned that I should enter just the postcode digits, which I then did; they knew no other reason why it might have failed. I give up. Shall have to hope that the hotel do get back to me in response to my email.

ETA: Yes, the hotel did get back to me very promptly and the reservation is now made. They said the "crypto" is only for French citizens! Well, nothing on the reservation screen said that, but maybe if I had left it blank the details would have gone through OK - but maybe not.
