Qantas Chauffeur service - General Questions/Advice

The box isn't showing. I've used the service on numerous other trips so know what to look for. The flights are confirmed and were booked on QF points and via the premium booking service. The booking does have one strange feature. Although the first flight is in October, the booking shows 'off-line point to off-line point' on 2nd September as the first leg.

The 'off-line point to off-line point' sounds very strange to me, more like something that comes up when trying to use residual amounts on vouchers or other out of the ordinary bookings.
I would be on the line to the Premium call centre ASAP if it were me to sort this out prior to travel and to book at least 4 CD trips (arrival and departure at each end).

Sorted. P1 service team swiftly on the case. The off-line is a 'dummy' flight that's put in to track a booking while seats are confirmed. While it's in there the other features aren't active. Hats off to the P1 service for picking this up and fixing promptly.

I got all excited about my upcoming QF1 trip, as I'd forgotten about the chauffeur service. Great! Get to save some coin by avoiding taxis. But forgot that I'm only in Y+ and am relying on a classic upgrade to be successful. And then the lows sunk in with the realisation that you need to book the service more than 48hrs before. WPs at best find out within 48hrs of successful requests..

D'oh.

My last 3 international upgrades have come in at T-60... keep those digits overlapped! :)

What date are you flying?

If I'm flying QF 9 in J from Mel to Lhr, and have a connecting flight from Syd-Mel prior, am I entitled to a chauffeur car from my home in Sydney to Sydney airport?

Pretty sure you are, assuming SYD-MEL is also in J and booked on the same ticket.

Yes, it will show up in the Manage My Booking section. You'll also get a car to collect you at LHR.

Would like to know if QF CD would be available to award bookings (using US/AA points but travelling on QF flights in J & F). The T&C said no to complementary tickets, but award tickets are not complementary?

QF CD only applies to bookings on QF marketed flights (i.e. sold as a QF flight number) so the answer is no unfortunately.

Thanks, ComeFlyWithMe - that's what I thought. But when I logged into hubby's booking in Qantas it showed CD available for his QF flights?

It might show the option but won't let you book it.

Regardless, I believe QF pulled CD on all US destinations anyway and now it only applies to travel via DXB.

Any recent experience in changing the time for the domestic pickup? I don't really fancy spending 2.25 hrs in the BNE J lounge since we are only 15min from the airport. Not sure if I should wait for the call the day before, or try to call QF earlier.

I don't think that calling QF will work. If you can't change the time on your webpage, then the only path seems to be to wait for the call. No problem in specifying the time you want, though, in my experience.
Best of luck.
