And does it not say somewhere that it's restricted to QF Metal (or is it QF flight numbers??).
The magic words are “Qantas operated flights”, see quote above. A ticket with QF flight number on say a LAN plane is LAN operated but QF marketed.

Just got the HURRY up Email which suggests there won’t be an extension

Hi

Don’t miss your chance to enjoy double Status Credits or double Qantas Points on every eligible Qantas flight across Australia and the world.^

Hurry, offer ends tomorrow, 11.59pm (AEDT) Friday 1 April 2022.

Alliance and QantasLink are OK for this promo so that is fine. These flights are more or less considered QF metal (since QFLink are all owned by QF, and Alliance is a bit different but still is OK). It's more that non QF partners (eg: EK) will not qualify.

The T&C say flight credits can be used but it may need to be manually adjusted. Travel Passes will be absolutely fine for this promo.

imo.
Many thanks RichardMEL; that's good to hear. I noted that the T&Cs explicitly exclude Jetstar. Good to know QF FlightPass is OK as well: I have a few of those after being hyper-organised with my international travel plans for 2020!

QANTASLink is considered QF operated for Double Points/DSC promos.

Nice. I will still need some more status runs if I am to get to LTG. I'm a lot further away. Getting back to Platinum will be good enough for me this membership year, but with the pricing for flights to/from NZ chasing faster progress towards LTG is a bit tempting.
Although I will most likely keep WP for a few years, I also don’t know whether it is worth chasing LTG. Probably cheaper to pay for QP annually.

Possibly. I guess it depends on your travel patterns. QF Gold aka OWS offers some benefits internationally that QP don't but it's very subjective and dependent on one's situation.

LTG is probably worth attaining in the longer term tbh.

I will only fly J internationally anyway, so I would only need QP for domestic. A question to revisit a few years from now.

Another well executed, clearly worded promotion from QF. Well I never :D

I deleted my last lengthy post because I got it all wrong.

The other collection of "eligible dates" on the website referred to the dates for fee-free date changes.

A fine collection of fine print indeed, but I think it's all good now. Off to make my last booking...

Cheers from the overinterpretation desk

My daughter who lives in the UK received this yesterday:

I'm very late to the party - just got back to India after spending over a week in Nepal. Did not have internet, functional enough to make a booking. Was lucky enough to register for the DSC - after trying for over 3 hours.

Now, trying to make a booking, but the QF website won't move past the home page. I'm able to enter the source & destination cities (BCI-LRE), but no results returned. The 4 dots thingy keeps happening, but doesn't show any results ...

Anyone else facing similar issues?

Flights coming up for me. The time you posted suggests they may have been doing maintenance. Note that BCI-LRE is currently more expensive than city pairs like MEL-SYD as the DSC coincides with a sale.

QF have of course been steadily jacking up the sale fares during the promo.

So the T&C's say "Double Qantas Points and double Status Credits will be credited to your account from eight weeks after travel." - are they really going to take 8+ weeks to post, or can we expect ~48 hours like last year's promo? I'm using this promo to scrape into WP 2 weeks before my membership year expires, but will be very frustrating having to wait 6 weeks into my new membership before the DSC that get me over the line from the qualifying flight posts!

Looks like a lot of NZ status run bookings were made so they closed it fast 😂😂

Or they April fooled us.
