yes this is exactly what I'm doing with a July date. I already have 390SC's coming in October-November. So I'll use this to get to 600 for my 2023/24 gold status. maybe more as I'm not LTGhowever if one's anniversary date is say July, then obviously one can book DSC qualifying flights into their next membership year that are beyond the rollover amount.
I booked 29/4 - 02/05. Arrival in AKL is 23:55 and departure 06:00 with no other options.Sydney to New Zealand with one stop in business class is $1072 in June. Tempted...
yesIf I make a new booking through the Amex travel web site using my Amex card $450 travel voucher, would I qualify for the DSC?
yesI couldn't find anything in the terms and conditions regarding lifetime status credits. Is it safe to assume that the double status credits will contribute to LTSC as well?
Anyone choosing the double points?
Yeah. The missus will.
Sucks Qantas doesn't do family pooling
Good news, Point Hacks have said the following on their facebook page..Does this apply to SC's earned on QFF awards for Points Club members?
I booked 29/4 - 02/05. Arrival in AKL is 23:55 and departure 06:00 with no other options.
Nope better off heading out and across the road to the Bar. lolAny good benches to sleep on at AKL?

Try again on the website or your mobile and you'll get another email probablyThe only thing that worries me about the email link was that I had registered and it announced success without being logged in. The links might be member specific.
Been there done thatAny good benches to sleep on at AKL?
Been there done that
It was off a TPE-HKG-SYD-AKL flight on my way back to BNE (the check-in ladies in TPE couldn't understand why I didn't fly direct)... I remember arriving after the long journey and looking for a bench in the check-in hall I could lie down on for the rest of the night, but I wasn't the only one sleeping at the airport!Enlighten me, I'm seriously considering it
As best I can make out that is irrelevant to this promo. I still havn't found which part of the page that condition applies but if you look at the three steps at the top of the page and click on the footnote marker, none of them direct to that condition. So can anyone interpret this part of the T&Cs for me (my bolding):
Eligible Flights include: Australian Domestic Qantas operated flights booked between 21 May 2020 and 30 April 2022, for travel between 12 June 2020 and 30 April 2022. Trans-Tasman Qantas operated flights booked between 15 October 2020 and 30 June 2022, for travel between 16 October 2020 and 31 December 2022. International Qantas operated flights booked between 25 February 2021 and 30 June 2022, for travel between 1 November 2021 and 31 December 2022. Don't the first 2 boldings mean that existing bookings (made since May/June 2020) will qualify for the promo, as long as the flights are taken within the specified window?
And doesn't the third bolding mean that you can change the dates of existing bookings, to now fly within the qualifying window and so qualify?
Yep, and this matches the case with pre-covid promos. Origin in Australia.I clarified this with Qantas, and they told me that only bookings with a Point of Origin in Australia are eligible to earn double points/status credits with this offer.
This seems like a limitation that shouldn't be buried deep within the fine print with vague wording. But there you go.
I arrived early one morning for that flight and the lounge didn't open until 5am from memory and I was through checkin at about 4:15. That was torture, don't know how people ever manage to sleep in an airport!Enlighten me, I'm seriously considering it
