Long as she's not a nutter prancing around in a full cinderela dress with army boots and a magical wand,
But what I'm really disturbed by, is that anyone can have a problem with Aunty Jack's attire.

Personally I think shorts are OK as long as they're either beige or powder blue, worn with a belt and polyester short-sleeved shirt (tucked in of course) and teamed with a matching safari suit top, long walk socks and sandals......

I have noticed over the years I've been a member,Dress Standards have changed ...
In first they still try to keep their standards up a bit...
As for stubbies ,singlets & thongs, hell I'm guilty as charged........@ PER International Q Club Lounge,I had on shorts (camouflage colour ) Tank-top ( yellow ) & green thongs...mind you I was out bound to DPS Bali ,& no-one gave a toss......

We should work in from both ends. While banning thongs we should also ban ties!

I think the whole standard of dress for traveling has plummeted, I am appalled to see pax boarding flights in singlets, beach shorts and jandals. I sincerely hope QF and NZ uphold the standards for the lounges.

NO!! Stubbies, thongs and singlets are not wanted and should not be allowed in the Qantas Club. Keep those type of clothes for the BBQ. Next will be a small game of cricket on the carpet!!!!

Apart from them being an inappropriate choice for travel in the first place,
who in their right mind would wear thongs to get on a flight anyway?
Thongs often break at the most inopportune time.
You won't be allowed on a flight sans footwear.

I agree that if you are dressed for the beach or the pub you should not be allowed into a Qantas lounge, not even if you have a first class ticket (probably purchased by the company, who should not employ a person like the one described). There ought to be some standards, which do not offend other people. There should be no exception and any female who dresses as a cough or who is in beach attire should be excluded also.

Traveling in thongs is the same as not having footwear.

Since we have now descended fully into the murky depths of bigotry and intolerance, could we please also ban members of the Festival Of Light (a misnomer if I ever heard one), the Taliban, lawyers, ALL PLATINUMS, people who hold up the booze line with stupid drinks orders ...... in fact I would like like everyone banned except me and the coughs!

So there.

Dress standards

As a QFFC member and being in WA where we have many fifo's who fit those comments as stated, It is my opinion that Qantas establish a separate lounge for these people. and i am not being a snob, but the passengers of both sex are the same in their attire. The company pays for their flights as a perk and they receive the points and finish up with Gold and Platinum membership. All points that are earned should be the property of their Company as that which happens in most private enterprise organisations. So Qantas lift your game and make all stand buy the rules that you set as you make us stand by your rules on ticketing.

We are trying to keep the dress standard in the QC to a reasonable level so lets keep the tone of the thread to a reasonable level also :!:
