Do you mind me asking whether they gave you a generous credit limit?

Approved as of today too. You can see once you check "loan status".. or something similar.

Well, since this is only for points I asked for $2000... Got $6000.

they matched my current NAB Limit (which is pretty damn generous imo) and i was looking at canning it anyway so that was one of the reasons i believe they approved it.

I put my application in online yesterday (I already have a stash of cash with them in their online savings account or something). Received a call today with a couple of additional questions then an email requesting the necessary paperwork (payslips, other income etc.). Note the eligible purchase requirement to get the QFF bonus points is simply any purchase that isn't a cash advance or similar. Basically, you're run-of-the-mill everyday credit card charges.

I just applied for the membership and got approved, but after I log into the online banking, there is no option for applying for a Visa Platinum credit card under the "Apply for Products" tab, any clues?

Under online loans, then the selection comes up.

Got declined today, they said it's because there are too many enquiries on my credit file. Most likely due to those sign up bonuses. Never mind, will try to earn my points elsewhere.

I got declined for the HSBC card, mainly because I was stupid and put my fortnightly income and my monthly one and was duly rejected. Kinda putting me off having a stab at this card for the same reason that you got declined on, especially as I'd like to buy a house at some point this year.

The wife signed up the other day as her Aunty works for Qantas, bank account went thru no prob's, Visa application was submitted friday arvo, I will be very interested to see what they come back with!!

O yeah they never asked for proof of the Aunty working for Qantas either, no mention at all!!

We will probably see them tighten up once they attract a few more customers..

I signed up for the credit union (before I can apply for the card online) and after a week, havnt received any email/mail that thought is strange. Does it usually take this long?

I assume that to be a credit union member, you can just register, dont need to select and register online banking, telephone banking or debit card when asked? Maybe that is the problem, but sure it said thanks for application when it was complete.

Did everyone select none of these options?

Thanks

Got first statement .. noticed that the QFF no. was missing.. but can see the 5,000 sign up points.. interested to see when this will be transferred to my Qantas Frequent Flyer Account, have now updated the CU with my QFF No.

Can anyone confirm to join QCU just for the credit card, you don't need to register for online banking - I have no email or contact for over a week and half now. Thanks

If you ring them up they will email you the credit card application files straight away. I have not registered for online banking.

My Card arrived yesterday, so took about 3 or so weeks from original application to having the card in my hands.

Not bad really, better than citibank at least.

Only thing is to change the pin i have to go across town to the airport :(

There is no mention of a minimum income required for this card. Would anyone hazard a guess at what the minimum income requirement would be, given it is a platinum visa card?
