Although QF28 departed SCL on Sunday 18 only eight minutes late at 1343, Monday 19 SYD arrival is forecast at 1819, 39 minutes tardy. This B744 (VH-OEH) is then forming the 2135 hours SYD - HND (QF25) so latter should not suffer any delay.
QF12 is arriving on Monday 19 in SYD (ex LAX) at about 1050 hours, 135 late. 'The 94' is coming in to its MEL gate at an estimated 1046 hours, 56 late. QF16, the LAX - BNE redeye should arrive at its gate in the Sunshine State at 0911, 116 minutes tardy.
These LAX delays are because QF11 (the 0820 hours Saturday 17 November LAX across to JFK) did not depart until 0932, arriving in the 'Big Apple' at 1720, 50 minutes behind schedule. QF12 then pushed back 65 minutes late at 1905, arriving in LAX at 2158, 63 late.
As a result, the A388-operated QF35 from MEL to SIN should depart half an hour late at 1250 hours this afternoon.
However in theory QF15 (timetabled to push back in BNE at 1120) ought not be delayed for its return to LAX.
As noted in a previous post, QF9 was tardy yesterday (Sunday 18) on its first sector. It subsequently departed PER at 2101, 81 minutes behind schedule with Monday 19 LHR arrival suggested as 0640 hours, 95 late. This flight normally has good timekeeping although with winter about to descend in the northern hemisphere it will be interesting to see if that continues. Other AFFers have suggested that the risk of diversions is much greater in winter.
