Qantas were being a bit optimistic in hoping to turn around B789 VH-ZND after its delayed arrival with QF22, in under 90 minutes to operate today's QF21. Currently shown as delayed with no new time estimates.
As noted in post #14255, the Wednesday QF7 is one of the flights removed from the timetable, due to rescheduling of 3yr Heavy Maintenance for B789s VH-ZNJ & VH-ZNK (due last November & December respectively).QF7 was cancelled for the same reason
It’s going via AKL.QF8 eventually found a gap in the weather, and took off at 15:25 CST, 4 hours late, after sitting at the head of the runway for the last 3½ hours of the delay. Once again, Qantas flight status is showing the push back time, and not the take off time - misleading for anyone not aware of the weather situation in Dallas, and excruciating for the passengers on board the flight.
This flight and the return QF22 have now been cancelled, no doubt due to the Dallas weather situation.QF21 is delayed till tomorrow due weather in DFW
