Qantas Delays/Cancellations

QF2 exLHR 2045 FRI 31/5 is delayed +1D to SAT 1400 -

Relatives had to be switched to QF10 SAT 1/5, which appears to also be delayed till 22:10 same day (QF9 ex-AU is also delayed, and presumably the cause of this).

So they got switched back to the normal QF2 service on Sunday, now arriving in MEL 24 hours late..

08JUN24 - A lot of cancellations CBR-MEL and MEL-CBR sectors. So far I have been rebooked 4 times on different aircrafts. Was supposed to be on the first one out at 0605h, now moved 4 times and finally on the 1040h departure.

All part of the new improved QF. Remember they promise they will try to get you to your destination - absolutely, positively - eventually.

On the departure board in MEL J lounge just now, about 10 flights delayed due to adverse weather.
Our MEL-SYD flight is still scheduled 🤞

Looks like both A220s are out of action… X4B hasn’t flown since 3 June and X4A hasn’t flown since last night…

Fog in LST disrupted inbound flights there this morning. The 0820 QF1541 MEL -LST currently rescheduled to 1500. The ABC radio AFL commentary team apparently among those affected and calling the Hawks/Giants game from the Melbourne studio rather in person at the ground.

Looks like it departed 2hrs late originally and circled LST for a bit before being diverted back to MEL. Going to have another go at 1500
