Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Two extra 787s in Melbourne today with the arrival of the QF300 and QF302 from LAX.

Apparently brought out ice hockey teams.

Got a change notice for QF38 on 22 Sept. Now departing 1:40am on the 23rd.

Rolling delays on the A332 fleet?

Domestic sector of QF9 cancelled, looks like the delayed QF10 will operate back to LHR from PER

Due to fly QF30 Saturday.
Just noticed QF29 delayed 10 hours today Thursday, flow on QF30 Thursday is now Friday departure.
Any thoughts on impact/flow on effect for Saturday flight, or can A330 be sourced from elsewhere?

Pax were notified around 0700 AWST that this evening’s QF780, the scheduled 1805 PER - MEL that was due to be operated by a B738 has been cancelled. At least 1 group of pax has been moved to a VA flight but it’s unclear whether this was initiated by their corporate travel provider or by QF

QF37 MEL - SIN apparently delayed to 5pm. Aircraft has been sitting on the ground since this morning when it arrived from Jakarta.

Edit: Original aircraft had an engineering issue, so they had to wait for the PER - MEL A330 which is now our replacement aircraft, departing about 1 hour 45 mins late. I note that the MEL 2 HKG QF flight is also a couple of hours late!

Today's QF1 is delayed from 3:10pm to 8:15pm (+5h05m)
Now delayed till tomorrow afternoon at 2:30pm (+23h40m). The onward leg to LHR will leave tomorrow from SIN at 11.25pm, 5 minutes before tomorrow's scheduled QF1 SIN-LHR.

This will obviously have an impact on QF2 leaving on Sunday (01 October), which is showing as leaving at 9.00am on Monday 02 October upending the entire schedule all the way to SYD.

And tomorrow's (Sunday 01 October) QF82, which was supposed to leave at 8.30pm, has been pushed back by more than 12 hours to 9am on Monday morning. Not sure why as the aircraft arrived into Singapore this evening and would have had a more than 24 hour layover.
