And why they're still selling tickets to the original 787 flight, departing at the same time?

I'm seeing a QF104 on A330-300 for Monday, which is your flight. No 787 that I can see. I think the GDS only ever shows the original scheduled time, so the delay won't reflect.



Looks like there's still 1 spare J seat so nobody should've been bumped, but this must suck for pax in PE as they would've likely been downgraded.

edit: I now see that Qantas website shows a 787. If you click it though, it will say A330. Just your usual all too common Qantas IT issue

I was in J for the 15th(local time) on the 787. I'm now in the same seat but on Tuesday morning A330 6.30ish AM departure. Booking has been updated on qf site etc.

QF 127 to HKG is 2 hrs late after taking off at 1337 instead of 1015 - it is VH-QPJ

QF104 Monday 15/4 delayed from a midday departure to 6:30am the following day. No contact from Qantas other than to let me know, had to organise additional accom myself etc. Plane also downgraded to A330.

The QF76 diverted to HNL so they are short a 787 overnight.

The aircraft that diverted to HNL is having an extended lei-over (ZNH). Remaining there for I imagine at least another 24 hours.

QF43 to DPS (and the return QF44) delayed departing SYD until 2010 tonight. Looks like VH-QPD could have been scheduled to operate it originally but has some issue? VH-QPJ now being utilised after landing from HND, which makes a 4-hour delay.

That means a change to the 737 to MEL instead tonight to get there on time, but at least it's QF!

B738 VH-VZS which operated QF796 MEL-ASP this morning is grounded in ASP. VH-VXE has ferried to ASP as QF6115 & will operate the delayed QF797 to MEL, approx 6 hours later than scheduled.

Google flights showing retimed departure out of LHR so SIN departure is now tomorrow morning.

QF292 likely jammed full too with people being moved over (i had something similar in February).

Good thing my 292 upgrade cleared yesterday.

Same thing happened with QF2 back in late 2022 when I was booked on QF38 back to MEL. I was in Y on that trip. Seat map was showing that I had an entire row to myself.
Until around lunch time of flight day when everyone boarding QF2 in SIN was moved over to the other ex SIN QF flights.

Lounge staff in SIN F (the staff in QF uniform at the service desk by the entrance) said that they kept VH-OQI in LHR for "servicing".

QF12 Departing LAX at 23:45 9/05 has been delayed 11 hours, now scheduled at 11:00 10/05.

With my limited knowledge it appears VH-OQD and VH-OQH are currently in LAX. VH-OQD last activity was 07/05 but OQH arrived only 1 hour so should be able to turn around on schedule or with only minimal delay. Anyone know why QF12 delayed?

Edit: QF12 09/05 Delayed again, new departure time is 13:00 10/05. Its about to catch the QF12 service for 10/05
