QF94 LAX-MEL cancelled both yesterday (787) and today (a380). Must be creating a quite a bit of havoc

Yes, QF93, the 1200 'high noon' MEL-LAX is cancelled on Saturday 29 March 2025.

This is its second cancellation in four days.

B789 VH-ZNC on QF21, the Friday 28 1620 hours afternoon MEL-DFW is estimated to depart at 0845 hours on Saturday 29.

In more on Saturday 29 March, QF79, the 0925 hours midmorning MEL up to NRT was airborne at 1250 hours. Gate arrival looks like 2040 hours, 165 minutes late.

QF29, the scheduled 1105 hours MEL-HKG is delayed until 1550 hours in its pushback.

B789 VH-ZNC on Friday 28's 1620 hours MEL-DFW took off at 1025 hours on Saturday 30, so arrival is estimated as 0948 hours, 1068 minutes behind schedule. It is then showing as operating QF8, the Friday 2145 hours very optimistically displaying as departing at 1025 hours on Saturday.

This aircraft is forming QF73 on Sunday night. Not looking good for curfew. Best case by my calcs is arrival into Sydney Sunday night as QF8 at 2045, not leaving much margin.

It has been a terrible run since the LHR diversions for both the A380 and 787 fleet. Currently there is an A380 out of service resulting in QF93/94 cancellations and a 787 running almost a day behind (QF21)

Looks like QPF has become u/s in MEL leading to QPI having to be ferried down from SYD to operate the now very-delayed QF29.

In more on Saturday 29 March, flagship QF1 (A388 VH_OQG), the 1555 hours SYD-SIN-LHR is expected to shortly push back at about 2000 hours.

The plane had earlier arrived from JHB at 1509 hours, 54 late as QF64.

On Sunday 30 March 2025, QF30 from HKG overnight to MEL (A333 VH_QPI) is arriving at 1425 hours, 400 minutes late. This is because on Saturday 29, it had to work down empty from SYD as QF6006 that meant the 1105 hours QF29 MEL-HKG wasn't airborne until 1902 in the evening.

Today it's again yo-yoing on the QF29 and QF30, with the former unlikely to depart prior to 1600 hours.

Sister QPB is on QF59, the 1025 hours SYD-HND in the air at 1310 with slated at gate arrival 2042 mid evening, 32 late.

Meanwhile QPD has only just taken off from MEL at 1326 hours as QF79, the 1035 hours MEL up to Japan's NRT so expected gate arrival is about 2216 hours tonight, 196 minutes late.

The B789 operating QF15, the 2005 hours BNE across and up to LAX is predicted to push back at 2145 mid evening.

Another B789, ZNF, is on QF10 from LHR down to PER that should arrive at its allocated gate at 1318 this afternoon AWST, 58 minutes behind the timetable. This has a substantial allocated turnaround time so in theory QF9 should have a punctual departure.

On Sunday 30 March, the 2005 hours scheduled HKG-MEL QF30 (A333 VH_QPI) became a Monday 31 takeoff in the small hours at 0255, so arrival at gate becomes 1431 hours, 366 minutes behind the timetable. The aircraft is then to operate QDF35, the 1305 hours MEL up to SIN optimistically forecast as a 1540 hours pushback.

Stablemate QPD arrived in MEL this morning as QF80 from NRT at 1018 hours, 93 late. It was again rostered on QF79, the 1035 hours MEL-NRT up up and away at 1255 with a 2049 hours arrival at gate suggested, 109 minutes tardy.
