Qantas domestic economy meals

Time for you to get back in your box :p Picking on anything to do with ADL is my self appointed mission ;) be it laptops, umbrellas, iPads and now sewing machines. On a recent flight from ADL I was asked to go back upstairs when I dared to take a look at the new international entrance, in the old world this was next to Hungry Jacks on the way to the old VA lounge and the opposite direction of QF.

Also I am still wondering what genius came up with the idea that sees PAX go through security, turn left, walk 3/4 of the way down the terminal, go down stairs, go through another security line then have to walk back to the terminal mid point then get a lift back to the starting point but on the other side of the glass  No wonder I never flown international out of ADL as trip connecting to the MEL or SYD the F lounge is easier than the ADL experience.

As for poochie I have yet to work out if it is just 'coughs and giggles' or just cough, he/she is at least SA based or claims to be.

Hungry Jacks was the best part of Adelaide Airport. It’s looking like it’s never coming back.

Is this in place now, or going to be soon? Personally I like (or have liked) flying international out of ADL if its QR QSuites# - I'll even sacrifice a trip to the Sydney F Lounge!

# Yes, these have traditionally flown out of SYD and MEL, but much busier and best seats usually gone when I book, esp Award flight.

Don't you like walking past shops? ;)

Personally, I know what they are doing and refuse to buy.

When LHR T5 opened, BA paid the airport owners a significant amount of money to the Airport Owners for an entry to the Concord room immediately past security. All other punters, including those eligible for "First Class" lounge access has to walk maybe 300 metres past stores down and up a level before they could meet the "Lounge Dragons".

At least in WA still get hot breakfast 0600-0800 flights (Simone quiche, a brick of quiche or the ham and hollandaise panini) and hot dinner items after 1700 (arancini, chicken panini, leek pie or the trio of party pies)

Seems the catering is better - did a similar flight time over east at 2hrs on a 0600 and got a clearly previously frozen wet soggy muffin for a 1hr 50 flight.

140g Chicken and leek pie on 6:05pm SYD-BNE flight.

The list of things in the pie is huge. Just 22% chicken and I'm guessing 300-400 calories? It's a snack not dinner.

Also worth pointing out that if travelling on a fare which earns points/SC you're entitled to a $10 F&B voucher which is enough to buy a Qantas-equivalent snack & soft drink.
And you get a choice of what you get as well as more choice in drink.
