Qantas double SCs

I got it! Sadly have booked most of my flights during this period. I do have a Mel-Syd JASA that I could potentially cancel and rebook...is this possible or do I lose a heap of money and/or points? Need to go read the fine print...

I did not get the email (I haven't registered to receive promotional emails.) but I clicked on the link on the first thread (the word REGISTER in blue) and it took me to the page and said that I was registered.

I was logged into the QF website at the time.

Don't get too excited, log-out and click the link and it says the same thing...........................

Didn't get it - already have 1020 SC's of travel booked with QF for the offer period. (+ another 560 SC's of OW travel too!) Can't complain though had a good run with the double miles back in November and December.

I will be interested to see if I get the email when I get access to my personal email back at the hotel tonight. Annoyingly because I show loyalty to QF and have some planned my travel, even if I get the email I wont get much benefit from this:

I know it won't get me anywhere, but if I get no email for 2x SC then all of may will be with virgin / velocity...

No email here yet either. Got it last year which helped me crack WP for the first time. This year though I've been hitting DJ more as they comped me when I was SG so I was working on requalifying with them and they have double SCs as well for a fair while (end June?). As I'm WP with little chance of maintaining it the worst that can happen is that I go back to SG I guess? I'd be sad to miss out on the F Club at SYD though but I only go OS once or twice a year.

But if offered double SCs with QF I might give it another go. (hint hint).

Oh and I also 'registered' and was 'confirmed' by clicking that link in the OP. I wasn't logged in either.

Hi Guys,

1) I think you'll find that clicking on the link only re-verifies the person who originally got the email. The link contains a long hash code which no doubt identifies the recipient.
2) They actually say that it is only valid for the person who receives it. This would verify the point above.

Noting some people had theirs at 6am, I had mine at 5:45pm, you are probably correct (they are trickling through, but then again how many hundreds of thousands are they sending?). Probably trying to avoid spam filters

I'm Gold FF. Previous Platinum. I'm curious how they are choosing who to email. Everyone? Or those they predict are 'in sight' of the next level.

My partner and I both got the email this evening. I have a question, the answer for which is probably right in front of my face, but I can't see it (been a long day!)

We both want to requal for WP so are thinking a JASA in August would be a good idea. Would the domestic leg of an international booking be eligible for double SCs as well? We're thinking of booking from CBR to AKL via SYD. and hoping that we could get SCs for each leg.

They weren't able to give a definite answer but they think it would all be ok. Have to call back tomorrow when the service centre is open for a comprehensive response.

I am about to book a truckload of travel for work - mainly to SYD though - this means I will be able to re-qual for play by July again!!!

Didn't get it last year, didn't get the HKG offer, didn't get it now. My QF year started on Sunday too, and I missed a loyalty bonus by 30SCs .... I'm having a good week!

I would love to know the selection criteria (assuming it's not random!), given we have the same QF year and are both WP+PG. Ironically, I'm probably too loyal and haven't given QF a reason to entice me.

Got the email here. Just made WP for the first time two weeks ago. Unfortunately have a LOTFAP trip already booked for July. Wondering if it's worth enquiring about cancelling/rebooking/rescheduling fees, or exploring internal USA SC runs on QF..
