Two or three business days in my experience...
eg Fly on 9 August - flight credited 9 August and double SC's credited on 13 August and
Fly on 12 August - flight credited on 14 August and double SCs awaited

Nice thing is Platinum achieved and recognised on the last flight

Previous posts have confirmed that if you travelled in your year the recognition will be applied to that year - so you should be ok

So, I have the offer for int flight until the end of AUG, does anyone know if I fly TSV BNE AKL BNE TSV whether I will get double point for all sectors or just my international sector if booked on the 1 ticket?
I need 490SC I have 72000 points and about a $1000 to play with.

Flew to AKL on 12th and double SCs posted today, 15th.

Returned from AKL on 13th and double SCs will hopefully post tomorrow, 16th.

Despite several assurances here, I've been unlucky. I had a AKL-TSV flight booked for double SC's in August. Despite the BNE-TSV being a domestic segment, as I booked AKL-TSV on the QF site, I had several people assure me that it should indeed provide me with double SC's for BNE-TSV. After several phone calls and emails to QF, I was told 'no go away' pretty much. When I tried to explain that I booked AKL-TSV and they routed me via BNE, they could not comprehend it.

Anyone had any luck with a segment like this crediting? I'm sure I heard from another AFF'er that it would work...

there was some discussion about domestic connecting sectors for double SCs and I thought the outcome was no SCs for this if on a dom flight 400 and above. If you were connecting on an international flight then it was ok. So ADL-SYD on QF82 followed by an international flight to LAX/AKL/wherever and it would be ok. But choose a pure domestic connector and the domestic wouldn't get the extra.

Would I be right in saying that 2 flights booked 4 days before the start period but with flights taken within the travel period are not eligible?

I think it depends on your offer. But the original big one I think was book and fly in April, May, June and August (the latter for international only)

I had plenty of bookings for April, May and June that were booked before the offer arrived. Not one of them was eligible for double SCs.

I received a similar bonus offer of sorts -- 50% SC loading for Perth flights from the east coast. As I happen to have done two in J over the eligible period, I'm quite stoked; but as I have done a lot of travel since June, I would have loved the broader double SC offer!!

Well I finally got my double status credits today. I had to call and ask for them to be credited because I had booked all of my trips using gift vouchers. A quick explanation and telling the operator what flights were eligible and what weren't and then on hold for a minute whilst he checked with his supervisor and all done.

A couple of minutes later the 40 status credits were in my account as promised.

When were gift vouchers purchased? Before promotion started or after?

I purchased a gift voucher in May and booked flight to AKL shortly after and double SCs posted. Same for flights to ROK in May although these posted in wrong membership and I had to call to get the fixed.

The flights to TSV in June booked in May but using gift voucher purchased in December have not credited.

Should really try and get the double SCs for these flights.

So we purchased the vouchers around the same time and you got double SCs for your flights? I need to be able to convince QF just like you and medhead have done.

Oh POO! Just realised why I'm not seeing double SC for my flight. I booked it using a voucher purchased last year. Doh! (that was stupid)

Any thoughts on the moral validity of calling to ask for the double SC. I had nothing booked until April and it was an extra flight. On the negative side, it still has a purchase date of December 2011. :?:

Well, I did this again with the free flight voucher. Didn't learn from my own lesson. Phone call to make.

Sorry I was unclear. It was a gift voucher, which effectively creates a PNR at the time of purchase. I suspect it appears as an old booking. It's probably a bit out of the normal that it would be best to call and ask. :( Definite trick for young players.

As per what I just put in another thread, You take the line that they are new bookings because you used a voucher. I think I also said that I used the voucher partially because of the offer. They should be able to check and see that there were no flights booked on the voucher as originally issued.

I forgot to post back on this thread. I called the previous week and got a lovely lady on the phone and I was able to convince her that it was indeed a new booking. She had to get approval from supervisor and called me back an hour or so later. SCs posted within a couple of days so I am happy now.

I received this offer today:

"To help you retain your Platinum status we are offering Double Status credits^ on all eligible* Qantas flights when you register, book and travel between 3 Sep 2012 and 30 Nov 2012."

(My status year ends on 30 Nov, and I'm currently 320 SCs short.)

Just my luck: I booked some JASAs two days ago to take advantage of the double SC offer on SYD-OOL flights that I've also received. If I held off until today, I would have earned an extra 160 SCs on the legs that don't already qualify for the OOL offer. :(

While I don't need the extra SCs to renew WP for another year, they would have brought LTS that little bit closer.

3 September or 3 October?

3 September or 3 October?

It says "3 Sep" in four separate places in the email. I'm 90% sure it's a mistake (although it doesn't matter either way, since I needed to have registered before I booked I expect).

Then again, I can't find anywhere that says I have to register before booking. And I have made a new booking and will fly between 3 Sep and 30 Nov. So perhaps I have a case that all my flights should be eligible for double SCs!

We'll once again I have been lucky enough to receive this promo just got the email yesterday to help re-qualify for gold. I'm 150 short of gold however have been planning some JASA orFASA before end of year. Now I have the dilemma do I try and achieve WP for the first time as I now only need 475 points to get WP. One question I have is if I book flights from the qantas Hong Kong website on QF flights do these qualify as eligible flights? Looking at a one way JASA to Hong Kong possibly PE from HKG to LHR return and the another ASA back to oz. really wanted to book a return Cathay Pacifi TPE ticket however these wouldn't count for double points.
