Qantas double status credits OR double points offer [book 23-28 March 2023]

Interesting… AKL Airport site says 24/7. Maccas NZ website says Int’l departures is 6am-11pm but airside is 24/7.
Ok, so I know that this isn’t really the thread for it, but given the earlier chat re: AKL for those of us doing the midnight run for DSC, I wanted to offer a quick PSA -:
  1. As of around 1am NZ time when I arrived in the area, Maccas Int’l Departures was open, so I guess they’re back to 24x7 operation.
  2. Maccas is the one and only place that is open. But hey, it‘s something, right?
  3. Might be common knowledge, but as you look at the Maccas, there’s a seating area to the left and behind. Currently all white walls and basically seems to be the place to go for collapsing on a bench to sleep and charge your devices. Curiously, Q Lounge wifi can be picked up from this position. I know AKL has free wifi as well, but for anyone who already uses the Q Lounge wifi and doesn’t want to use yet another public access point, might be handy.
  4. Closer to 2am as I type and KFC appears to be slowly waking up. So if “dirty bird” is your thing, then that might be an option closer to when check-in opens.
As an amusing observation for me, absolutely no one batted an eyelid over my FIFO visit. I can only assume NZ Border Security have seen it a million times over ;)

Update: False alarm for “dirty bird” availability. Seems the lights were only on for a delivery, but now the only lights are the C in their big logo… that seems to flash in time to the dulcet tones of the alarms from the neighbouring Maccas that quite simply will not shut up (because the 2 folks who are “crewing” the restaurant appear to not understand the concept of an alarm going off generally meaning that they need to do some work, least of which would be shutting the alarm off!!).

So my status has dropped to Silver and my status reset to 0 (April 30 anniversary date). 40SC short of retaining Gold however I should bounce back up to gold when my DSC comes through for a flight taken on April 19 (yes??) does anyone know if this will happen automatically or will I have to call QF?

It should be automatic once the DSC posts which will then expire immediately

I have the same issue, trying to get some clarity on this point with QF now.. need my DSC to qualify for Gold, all earned (70) in April yet, still not credited.

As far I’m aware DSC haven’t posted for anyone yet. As per answer to my question above it looks like they will post then expire (if your anniversary year resets)

First comment received from staff re: my status run itinerary today. OOL lounge angel dragon (I really hesitate to use the term as she seems like a genuinely lovely lady!) saw whatever popped up on the screen when I scanned my boarding pass, did a bit of a double-take, then laughed and said, “Oh wow, Mr Brew! You’re certainly travelling around the world in quick time!!” 😆

Enjoy your travels! I was there 4 times in the last fortnight and the lounge angel (which you can say when not encountering dragons) made a brief comment about my itinerary.

Would be keen to hear if anyone has received their DSC from this years promo. And yes I’m aware can take up to 8 weeks, just having status anxiety 🤣

Took a flight on 03MAY, got DSC on 04MAY. However, other flights that I took on 01,02 MAY have not received any DSCs yet.

Point to note - the 03MAY flight was a QF international flight and the flights taken 01, 02 MAY are domestic

I’ve received my bonus SC for half the flights I’ve taken this week.

Hopeless situation.

Hopeless IT.

Recieved my recent VA offer ones within 12 hours. Yes DSC's.

May the 4th be with me
On 3/5, SCs for a flight on 30/4 posted. On 4/5, the DSCs posted for the "activity" on 3/5.

The first flight on 28/4 hasn't had DSCs post yet. Those are my only two eligible flights so far.
