Let's get some t shirts made-"Woollies doesn't like me"
Still no offers since early September.I have checked my EDR account and opted in.Twice in fact.

Maybe we shall!

Funny that the above posters mentioned an Aldi store opening up nearby.. mine is right next door to an Aldi! They share the same carpark

I'll see your Aldi and raise you a Coles.

One is being build Adjacent to the local Woolworths; due to open in November.

I met with a client yesterday who works for Coles Property, at their MEL Head Office. That is their strategy serfty :D. Boy it was a hive of activity yesterday. Coles are on the way back!

Is it normal that I drive 5minutes of my way to goto Woolworths?

700m from Home is Coles/Aldi yet they provide terrible selection/service so I drive to Woolworths

Yes, very normal. I drive 10 mins out of my way to shop at one of 2 Woolies (when a physical shop is required), rather than 800 metres to the local (large) IGA. No Coles nearby.

Luckily, we use Woolies home delivery, very convenient.

Would that be a Coles group with re-branding/overhaul? Isn't an ex Tesco Boss now at Coles?

l ventured into 2 Coles recently and they were both "dumps" compared to Woolies. Coles really need to update/referb their stores. There are 2 Woolies and an IGA on the way home for me.

If there is a relaunch, there could be some Credit Card Promo's and bonus sign-up points too...

Oh yes, they took their eyes off the ball for about 5 years he said and Woolies came in and built new stores next to the aging Coles stores, thus taking away marketshare. Now Coles are using the same strategy on Woolies (they are looking at sites near other Woolies stores and building new ones, rather than trying to refurb the existing ones - depends on whether they own the sites or were leased).

The Woolworths is a 6 minute walk (90 second drive); the Coles will be a 3 minute walk (40 second drive).

FWIW, the nearest ALDI is a 22 minute walk or 4 minute drive.

Here's a link to a map:

Pretty much the same for this ALDI as well - both share the same carpark.

I also drive past a 2-year old Coles (same Suburb) for my regular woolies shop (as mentioned above - Coles lack in quite a few areas IMO) - have never received any offers until ALDI are close to opening its doors.

(Another 400pt offer this week)

Cant speak about all Coles stores but our local got refurbished recently (Dec 2010) and it looks really nice. Better than the Wolworths stores around us. They have taken to a more open plan with more of a fresh market feel to their seafood, deli and continental sections.

Yes Tesco man is in the top job and I was told this was part of his fight back plan.

Somehow, without even trying, I have managed to get myself to a nice round number as I hit a milestone amount of points earned…

Total Qantas Frequent Flyer points earned from Woolworths : 15000

Okay well 6 hours until Woolies emails out the weekly boni points offers.

See if I am included this week

It's been 3 weeks without an offer :evil:

My offer last week was for 300ml bottles of Coke products. Have never purchased them from Woolworth's so I wonder why I got that offer.

Still as long as they keep coming I'm not too worried, I usually get something I like about once a month. I always swipe the card no matter the amount in the hope I'll win a voucher or something. And of course they accept Amex without surcharge so that is a good way to rack up some points.

Two offers this week, a 16c fuel voucher for an Optus recharge $30 or more usable as many times as I want, and 250 points for a once off single purchase of any 4 bottles of wine.

So lets see, this Easter they want me talking on an Optus Phone or using Optus broadband, and drinking wine while racking up 8 points per litre on fuel! I wonder if they knew I would be clocking up 2500km in the coming few weeks?

Well I got two seperate emails!

2 points/$ on spend over $30 at WW.
2 points/$ on spend oer $30 at BigW.

For me the bonus offer this week was to spend $15-$25 on Vitamins - 150 points for $15, 200 points for $25-$35 and 300 points for $35 or more.

I never get any offers, except for with the quarterly statement...and I have opted in :(
