Qantas FF and Woolworths create new loyalty alliance

my Big W receipt from today shows the following after the sales total:

So that confirms my card was recorded for this transaction. Not sure what happens for transactions less than $30.

Doh! Spend over $30, and no note about fuel voucher. I handed over the card and I'm sure that it was swiped. I guess that means a call to try and have the transaction registered to my card. :(

Well looks like I have now qualfied for all my Woolworth offers:
  1. 100 pts BWS James Boag
  2. 100 pts Big W (sale catalogue)
  3. 500 pts Fresh Food from Woolworths/Safeway
  4. 700 pts Qualifying spend at 3 stores (above purchases)
In order to qualify I added a $5 purchase to something I was buying anyway at Big W. For the Fresh Food purchase I combined shopping with another family member. So in the end I only spent $5 that I wasn't planning on anyway for the 1,400 pts bonus points.

I hope that they keep giving offers like this in the future.

BTW thanks for the tip to update my profile for different types of offers.

Dont forget the fresh food offer runs for another week until the 27th and can be used more than once.

Just got a new targeted offer from EDR, a 'we've not seen you in a while' promotion offering double points for purchases at Woolworths Supermarkets from 21 - 27 June 2010.

However, I'm sticking to my ban on shopping at Woolworths after their blocking of debit cards so won't be making use of it.

Received offer today for 200 ff points for $15 spend at Bakery. Will add nicely to 1000 points (hopefully) credited for 2 x $50 fresh food purchases.

I got 250 points for $40 of meat, which works nicely with the fresh food offer still running, both are multiple transaction permitted, also noticed double points at DSE on the EDR website.

Already attained this requirement twice. Oh the joys of feeding teenage boys

I think I should be able to easily get another 2 or more shots at this one before the end of the promotion.

Well that is weird the Big W transaction has appeared in my everyday rewards account but no fuel voucher and no note on the receipt to say the card had been swiped.

That's semi-reassuring. I bought one of their sale items, under the $30 threshold. I noticed that where I normally get the statement at the bottom, it didn't mention that it was scanned even though it was. (Asked the sales attendant and she said it never appears... what do they know?!)

Will see whether the bonus actually does come through or not...

Wow, talk about offers this week!!

Not only did I get my points balance thing last week, with the 700 points at 3 stores ans 100 points for buying from the Big W catalogue, but I also got 2 targeted promos.

One was for the 'we miss you/haven't seen you in a while, here, have double points' at Woolworths, the other was a targeted 12cpl or 250 bonus points for sports supplements/vitamins.

Obviously a pretty powerful marketing tool Woolworths have here, what, with the ability to target those who haven't swiped their cards for a while.

Still, 1200 bonus points isn't too bad for a weeks shopping!

Hrm, my Big W purchase from Sunday (which didn't show up on the receipt) hasn't come through yet.

The website does say it takes up to 72 hours. I think it took about 54 hours to appear in my everyday rewards account.

I shopped at BigW East Gardens Sunday and the points showed up today.

That completes the 700 point challenge and will now give me a total of ~2500 points in the year from EDR.
