Yes, I received it, and deleted it. I really dislike this type of marketing, but good luck to you if anyone takes you up on your offer.:)
Yes, I do agree that it pushes the envelope - because the more unscrupulous of our friends can just add our names and details to something like this without prior permission or talking to you first.

And while the company doing it could include language asking you to talk with friends first before including their names, there's no guarantee that they will.

Also, I'm yet to see if someone's tested this type of email marketing for its validity under the Spam Act 2003, because it does push the envelope in terms of permission marketing requirements.

While any email received could include an opt-out link, the fact that you may not have a prior business relationship with the sender does suggest such unwanted emails could be found in breach.

Can you not just create a second email, sign yourself up, and claim the bonus points (it said you get them as well as the person you sign up)?

Did not receive this email..... AGAIN...

Neither did I. Don't worry about it.

On that topic, a friend added me on LinkedIn, and not caring about it I deleted the friend request, but now am receiving reminders to sign up and there's no opt-out link. Very annoying, and from a site I would have expected to play fairer.

Bought my first alcohol in months from BWS last night (Thursday) and not 5 minutes past midnight I get my first email from BWS in ages.

I only get the BWS offers.I guess after all the Cow Bombie extra 100 points I got they have me tagged.
As an aside I went to a liquor chain here in Helsinki today appropriately named Alko. The Ninth Island Sav Blanc was exactly the same price as at the vineyard!

I bought a few of them too.

I showed the offer to my dad who seemed to think this offer was for the label below the Taylors Shiraz, which he likes.

I'm in the same boat SAM.

I hadn't shopped at Woolies for ages. 1 day after l purchased, l get an e-mail. l'm sure it is set up with an automatic e-mailing system of some sort.
