- Premium cabin rewards have higher points needed and lower carrier charges from September 18, since they need 3 months notice for negative changes (points increasing)

Hope this means that the requests already put in for a classic upgrade from an Y Saver fare are not impacted.

Have requested 2 upgrades to J from Y saver in July and September

No changes to LTG or LTS. LTP exactly as our insiders said.

Some sort of 'status' based on annual points earn (probably a couple of lounge passes and 50sc is my bet). Keep the cash-printing machine fed

Redemption tables not as bad as I feared - but what I expected with most premium cabins going up.
The reduction to shorter oneworld trips might be useful for those doing half RTW trips or positioning

The J oneworld rtw is now 318k. Although it is a little disappointing that it has increased from 280k, it's not the worst thing.

If the qf taxes are lower, then at least that would be a plus.

AusBT says "Finally, there will be no change to the popular Oneworld Classic Flight Reward package, which is typically used to book around-the-world journeys with Qantas and its Oneworld partner airlines at appealing rates such as 420,000 Qantas Points in first class and 280,000 Qantas Points in business class."

So if one were to go for LTG with QF (assuming it stays at 14000SC), then LTG with BAEC it would still take approximately 50% less SC than going for LTP with QF.

Flood to BAEC anyone?

A devaluation was always on the cards. All programs do it - just means this hamster has to run a little harder on the churning wheel than he did before.

Don't worry, you won't be!
You're right, I won't be at this level:

Recognising our highest flyers
To reward our highest flyers, we’re launching Lifetime Platinum in August this year. Eligible members who earn over 75,000 Lifetime Status Credits will enjoy the benefits of Platinum Status for life, regardless of how often they fly.

Better change my signature to say 17.45% to LTP. Not happening. 5.35 times the TLG qualification level. (Had to edit my number, my DSC just posted and I got another 0.03% of the target).

lifetime OWE status if you average the respective requal for OWE in these programs would take:
63 years on QF
33 years on AY
23 years on BA

I wonder how many lifetime platinums QF will actually have at this level

How many people actually come close to the 75k SC required for LTP? Sounds like something that only a tiny fraction of people will ever get.

Not sure how they justify 75K... most people holding WP will never get there. Meh. LTG it is then.

Conflicting info here. Does anyone have a link to a QF source confirming if the OW Classic Award is changing?
