Qantas FF announcement 20 June - "biggest overhaul" in program history

Qantas Lifetime Platinum will come with perks, service and recognition above and beyond standard Qantas Platinum membership, rolled into a secret set of "unpublished benefits".

So in other words they don't know what they'll give you yet and prepare to be underwhelmed.

At the numbers they're talking it may as well come with CL access.

I'd say that @JessicaTam is doing it right. Doing LTG with QF and then BAEC is definitely a cheaper than going to QF route

If you're the sort of flyer who would gun for LTP, it seems you would be better off shifting to BAEC once you hit LTG with QF. Saves putting all of your lifetime status eggs into one basket too.

Can we confirm there’s absolutely no changes to SC earn rates with either QF or OW airlines? Neither QF website nor ABT mentioned there would be.

Dang! I’ll be over 50% of the way to LTP by the time I finish my current DONE4 in October - but according to current age-specific lifetables I’ll be 83% of the way through my life by then .

Doing the maths for LTP, if I (21 year old) keep up the same rate of SC earn every year without fail (and without changes to earn, etc) I’ll be 50 by the time I get it. Maybe they’re trying to lock in the younger generation!!

lifetime OWE status if you average the respective requal for OWE in these programs would take:
63 years on QF
33 years on AY
23 years on BA

I wonder how many lifetime platinums QF will actually have at this level

I might make it to LT Emerald, but it won't be with QF.
