Same for me. Also the Points/SC calculator is down too. Here's to hoping no earning table "enhancements" to be quietly rolled out at 12.30pm..

ha ha :D When everyone is at lunch, QF sneakingly rolls out updated SC table that gives you 7 SC in the place of 10 SC for a Red-e-Deal ticket from SYD to MEL (lol)

Lifetime Gold means Oneworld Sapphire means lounge access. Don't see them taking that away. (That chart didn't include priority bags / boarding / security either).

Had I known 7 years ago that lifetime platinum was coming I would have flown QF exclusively instead of including VA, SQ, AA, CX into the mix.

As a result, I sit here with 29k status credits ... when I think I could be sitting at 53-57k.... okay so still a ways away

Bugger it. I only had 150,000 points so decided to use them all for a J return trip to Japan next Feb.

Anyone got any info on this "points club"? All i can find is a smh article with the following
"The airline also announced the establishment of a new points club, a two-tiered system with a minimum annual points-spending threshold.
The base tier will require members to earn 150,000 points earned on the ground."

I wonder how many of QF's Pilots would qualify for LTP if they were earning for their flights??

Interesting the 75k requirement for LTP. It would seem for most highly unattainable and with the continued QF enhancements to the WP level (and in general) one would wonder what the significant benefit in chasing it would really be. I’m WP and the biggest benefit I find are the international F lounges. These are somewhat on the decline given QFs penchant for combining lounges and in somewhere like the US, outside of LAX the AA ‘Flagship’ lounges are open to sapphire and emeralds. Benefit of slightly better seating has been eroded over the past couple of years and now the benefit of more reward seats will be largely gone (not that it was significantly better before). I’m really trying justify the ridiculous earn required for this level. Even if they include something like the SST I don’t believe this would be worth it. I don’t even think it would be worth it for CL access!

That's all Qantas have announced so far. Points Club won't be launched until late 2019.

No details provided. But stated to be launched in late 2019.

150,000 seems to be a very low entry point.

QF website states nothing more than what SMH has posted, besides, Points Club will kick in late 2019

I’m underwhelmed frankly.
Won’t change my flying much. Seems to be a completely fanciful offer of LTP when you don’t actually really want to offer it at all. Award seats changing, meh they do that often enough.
Not sure why the big roll out at the SCG, nor why I stayed up long past by bedtime to read it :p
