Qantas First Class menus

Looking fwd to our EK F BNE GLA on Saturday.

The Hennessy Paradis, Glenfiddich 21 year old Scotch and Taylors 40 yo port are very attractive for a 14 hr flight:)

The Hennessy Paradis hmmm... Perfection!

I may had more than my fare share of this little beauty on a recent 32hr journey :D

Clarification - post take off I thought I would die of thirst before the 'post take off' Champers arrived - little known fact is that quality Champs in close vicinity to my seat has a habit of dissipating into thin air - wait time to replenish seemed liked an eternity - try +10 mins consistently - yep I fully understand it ain't all about me (I do have 10 sisters) - but +10 mins?

They only load a limited number of F champagne bottles so if you (and others) got proper refills it would have probably run out half way to your destination.

Yep heard that before - I checked comm tix price day before we dep - Sep 20 MEL-LAX / Oct 04 LAX-MEL in QF F $17.7K - and you might not get a Champs on either leg? We live in interesting times do we not?

Ah they were very generous on a flight last year and there was not much of the bottle left when we got to DXB. Not that I remember much of the flight.:)

And not all the "* item available throughout the flight" have disappeared?

does this mean if I wake up 10 hours in and it's 3 hours till brekky that I can't order a steak sanga?

No, not at all. Steak sanga is available throughout the flight. I was offered one with my tea 45 minutes prior to landing on Sun.

Just looking at that QF9 menu, is that steak sandwich always on offer? Wife and are flying QF F for the first time so not sure what to expect.

Yeah. Unfortunately that's about it. And giving out F drinks to plats in business class doesn't help either.

Recent data point.
QF9 on Sunday had a 2 hour stop at the gate after boarding before everyone was deplaned. Throughout this delay the crew kept coming through the cabin with LGD refills. We eventually departed and LGD was available throughout the flight.
I know others on here have reported that QF has run out of Champagne but I've never been on a single sector where this has happened. Maybe I've just been lucky on every single sector or maybe it's not as common as some on here believe.
It shouldn't happen at all of course but IMO it's a rare event.

Poured myself a glass from the F mini-bar and walked down to the main bar behind J. No more than 30 seconds after I got there one of the FAs followed holding the HP bottle "in case I'd like another glass".

Now that's what I call First Class service!

Sadly, PF, I can report one recent flight, DXB-MEL, where NO F Champagne was available. None.
We were offered a glass of J bubbles but that was it!
Very sad state of affairs.

Have had one other flight where the Champagne lasted only for pre-departure drinks.
Sad, too.
But not as bad as the "Not loaded" flight.

We were delayed at the gate - and I did offer to go back to the Lounge and buy some.
Alas, that didn't work. :)

Oh that's not good at all PJ. You do way more F sectors than I do so fingers crossed my luck holds out :)

did QF offer anything to make up for this (apart from the J crud) to make up for this during or post flight?

Not in terms of "compensation", as such.
But they did, on that flight and each subsequent flight, provide excellent service, which I find to be the norm when flying up the pointy end of QF.

(Still rather a drastic lapse, I agree. :()
